Teabagger Erick Erickson of Red State and CNN sort of fame, is considering a run for Georgia’s US Senate seat now held by Senator Saxby Chambliss.

‘Erickson was a one-term city councilman in Macon, Georgia, but resigned when his work–a radio show, television gig and editorship of highly-trafficked blog–became too great to shoulder in tandem with his public service’.

“For a week now, I’ve been getting calls to see if I would challenge Saxby Chambliss, once he really got into the whole ‘raising taxes issue,’” Erickson said in the opening segment of his radio show Tuesday’.

“This is the perfect time to solve the single biggest problem confronting the future of our country,” he said.

“I hope we can put all of this divisiveness behind us, and build confidence and relationships on a bipartisan basis, which would help us get there at the end of the year,” he said.

Stories From The Fringe – ‘David Barton Repeats Zombie Lie about President Obama and Thanksgiving’

Sadly the people that are followers of David Barton and the Wallbuilders and you could include FOX ‘news’, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, etc, are what you call ‘believers’.

Who is telling them is more important then what is real.

And why are they important?

Because this is the core base of the ‘new’ Republican Party. And that ‘base’ re-elected 70 of the teabaggers back into the House of Representatives.

And they could/will do all they can to block raising taxes on the wealthy, block raising the National Debt, block cutting the Defense budget, block common sense immigration reform, block funding on any and all programs deemd ‘socislistic’.

‘No Compromise’ is not governing. It’s not a Republic. It’s a dictatorship.

And their ‘meessage’ is telling us to fear the very thing they are trying to form.

That’s why it’s important.

‘If Clayton Fiscus, a new Republican member of the Montana House of Representatives, has his way, intelligent design will soon be taught alongside evolution across the state’.

‘On Nov. 5, Fiscus requested that a bill be drafted which would require Montana public schools “to teach intelligent design along with evolution,” according to the National Center for Science Education’.

‘In 1987, the Supreme Court held in Edwards v. Aguillard that a Louisiana law requiring public schools to teach both creation science and evolution was unconstitutional because the law was intended to advance a specific religion’.

‘In a 2005 case, Kitzmiller v. Dover, a federal district court in Pennsylvania ruled that the Establishment Clause prevents public schools from teaching intelligent design because it is essentially religion, not science’.

‘The bill Fiscus wants drafted would not be the Montana legislature’s first foray into the continuing controversy over the teaching of evolution in schools. Most recently, in 2001, a bill was introduced that would have mandated the teaching of “competing theories of origin” rather than “the exclusive teaching of the theory of evolution,” notes the NCSE. That bill died in committee’.
