The Last Of The Millenniums – ‘Humans Have Destroyed 50% Of Earth’s Wildlife In The Past 40 Years’

‘According to their report, we need 1.5 Earths to sustain the current
level of human consumption’.

This is going to sound maybe a little strange for those of you who
have followed me for the past 2 1/2 years, but my original intent of
my blog, my passion, was to address the destruction we as humans are doing to our
only home….the only place we have to live.

But the politics of ‘right now’ got in the way.

If we don’t solve our problems of ‘right now’, if we place a higher
value on money then people, then THAT will decide what our future
will look like.

• Corporatocracy.

The pain, the suffering we will put billions of people through just for money.

We have the ability to slow the population growth, increase healthy food and water production, raise the standard of living and dignity for all……

But we need to do 2 things first.

Stop wars….and we never will.

Stop greed so that a person is more important then profit.

And we never will.

So are we doomed to extinction? No.

But over the next 100 years as the war of religions dominate humankind, we will also be fighting food wars. Clean water wars. Medical wars. The right to live wars.

What will be left?

Maybe a Billion people scattered all over the Earth –

• living in fear of their community growing  too large and thus consuming too much…
• while living in fear of other communities attacking them to take what they have….

And while they huddle around camp fires clutching their bibles and guns…..

Our future will depend on perhaps just a few who gathered knowledge, science and used critical thinking to plan and live in balance with the Earth.

• ‘chopping down trees faster than they can grow’,
• ‘and harvesting fish from rivers and oceans faster than they can
  breed’.

‘According to a Norwich University report, our current population of
7 billion and counting will swell to 10 billion by 2050′.

• ‘That’s a 42.8% increase in human consumption over the next 36 years’.

‘The situation is so bad, many scientists believe we’re experiencing
the early days of a 6th Mass Extinction. The last mass extinction
took place 65 million years ago when an asteroid hit the Earth and
killed the dinosaurs. This sixth extinction is unique in that it’s
due to the actions of one species. Homosapien’.

The Republican War On Women – A Republican World – ‘ Women’s group: Louisiana billing rape victims is ‘political extortion’ to stop prosecutions’

 

“Anticipating a $2,000 medical bill is really going to discourage them from going to the hospital. Not just reporting it to law enforcement, but even getting your medical needs met,” Louisiana NOW chapter political action coordinator Clay Latimer explained to WDSU’.

‘The National Organization for Women (NOW) chapter in Louisiana has reacted with outrage, and called on the state to help rape victims on Monday after a report revealed that hospitals had started charging them for emergency care’.

‘The Times-Picayune reported last week that rape victims had once been treated for free, but they were now being billed as much as $4,000 by some hospitals’.

‘In one case, a New Orleans college student woke up nude in a public place, and officials urged her to be treated at a local hospital. Although she was assured that she would not be charged, she received a $2,254 bill a year later’.

Debunking The Iowa Republican Liar – ‘Joni Ernst Flat-Out Lied About Supporting Personhood Amendment’

‘The thing you need to know about Iowa Senate candidate Joni Ernst is that she is one hundred percent owned and operated by the Kochs’.

‘They promoted her, they are financing her campaign, and she is grateful to them to the point where she knows she wouldn’t be where she is without them’.

‘And that means she lies’.

‘A lot’.

‘Sunday night’s debate was no exception. When the question of the personhood amendment resolution she sponsored in 2013 came up, she lied some more’.

‘This is what she co-sponsored’:

“The ad claims that the amendment would “outlaw abortion even in cases of rape or incest.” There is no provision in the amendment that would allow for those exceptions”.

“Ernst was one of 21 lawmakers who sponsored the resolution, which was never brought to the floor for a vote”.

“The ad claims that the amendment “would have banned many common forms of birth control.”

“The amendment would indeed effectively ban any hormonal forms of birth control”.

‘But in her debate with Bruce Braley Sunday, she sang a bit of a different tune’.

“The amendment that’s being referenced by the Congressman would not do any of the things that you stated it would do. That amendment is simply a statement that I support life”.

I love ‘accidental’ shootings.

I have yet to ever see a gun shoot by itself.

Unless a gun is dropped, someone has to put their finger inside the trigger guard and pull the trigger.

And that’s NOT and accident……

JACKSONVILLE, ONSLOW COUNTY – ‘A man has been cited for accidentally shooting another man at a firearm shop in Jacksonville over the weekend, police said’.

‘Jeremy Snyder, 35, of Jacksonville, received a citation for discharging a firearm within city limits, according the Jacksonville Police Department’.

‘Investigators said Snyder and 28-year-old Douglas Clapp, of Jacksonville, were both handling a weapon when the gun was discharged’.
