Donald Trump’s Ignorant Administration – ‘Priebus: Trump Considering Amending or Abolishing 1st Amendment’

Donald Trump – The Ugly American

To begin, kudos to John Marshall for being on of the few outlets to pick up on this.

Insane idea? Yes. Under the current Congress, it could possibly pass the House. Not the Senate. And with 30+ State houses under Conservative leadership, again a possible close to 2/3’s.

But John, this is not just about the ‘free press’.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

There is not a single ‘true’ Christian (see Mike Pence) that doesn’t drool over the prospect of making America a real ‘christian’ Nation.
Yes any dictator would jump for joy over reversing all the First Amendment protections and yes Trump only talks about this thinking “governing is so easy” that he could benefit financially by being able to sue the press over stories he doesn’t like.

But Trump’s ‘legacy’ is already defining itself. All bark and no bite.

He has no concept of how or why Government works.
*Thinks people should lose citizenship if they burn the flag.
*Sitting quietly while the President of China gives him a 10 minute history lesson of China/Korea relations.
*Just ‘take’ a country’s oil.
*Other countries should have nuclear weapons to protect themselves.
*Inviting a murdering dictator (Duterte) to the White House.

The effort is doomed. Just as Trump’s place in history is doomed or of being a possible ‘statesman’.

All doomed.

But Trump didn’t win, didn’t campaign on the ‘Art of the Deal’.
No.
He campaigned and won on ‘squeezing the toothpaste out of the tube’.

Mexicans are murderers and rapists.
Muslims need to be banned.
Hillary needs to be locked up.

Planting the seed of a ‘christian Nation’, legislated speech, press, assembly and petition – the ‘christian Nation’ dream.

Sound hyperbolic? Look at the actual exchange –

KARL: I want to ask you about two things the President has said on related issues. First of all, there was what he said about opening up the libel laws. Tweeting “the failing New York Times has disgraced the media world. Gotten me wrong for two solid years. Change the libel laws?” That would require, as I understand it, a constitutional amendment. Is he really going to pursue that? Is that something he wants to pursue?

PRIEBUS: I think it’s something that we’ve looked at. How that gets executed or whether that goes anywhere is a different story. But when you have articles out there that have no basis or fact and we’re sitting here on 24/7 cable companies writing stories about constant contacts with Russia and all these other matters—

KARL: So you think the President should be able to sue the New York Times for stories he doesn’t like?

PRIEBUS: Here’s what I think. I think that newspapers and news agencies need to be more responsible with how they report the news. I am so tired.

KARL: I don’t think anybody would disagree with that. It’s about whether or not the President should have a right to sue them.

PRIEBUS: And I already answered the question. I said this is something that is being looked at.

The Resignation Of Donald J. Trump

I have seen a little in my life time.

A President assassinated…..

A President resigned in disgrace……

A President with early onset dementia….

And a President Impeached by the House but over ruled by the Senate.

And now, the election of a con artist.

Will Donald Trump resign? Yes but it will take some time. The Republicans will have to be taken by the hand since they control the House and the Senate and have an ignorant man sitting in the White House who will sign whatever they put in front of him.

Donald Trump will lie. He has a long, long, very long documented, recorded history of lying.

So Republicans will have to force the one document – Trump’s tax returns – out of his control and bring it into the light of transparency.

This will show Trump’s long, long, very long history with Russian financial institutions.

And Trump will have no choice but to resign.

The upside.

We get rid of the con artist.

I admit I am biased. I want to see Trump and his entire family humiliated, financially crushed. Even to the point where the Dollar Store won’t sell an item with the Trump brand.

Why? Trump spent 8 years degrading President Obama and his family as not being ‘real;’ Americans. Over and over and over, Trump pounded the meme into the American minds that Obama was not born in America.

The down side.

Mike Pence will become President. Pence describes himself thusly – ‘A christian, a conservative and a republian….in that order.

The upside.

Except for a small sect of religious bible thumpers, no one especially Republicans will have the stomach to be preached at by Pence who ran as Trump’s running mate.

America will be in turmoil for several years.

The upside.

Democrats can take back the Senate in 2018, the House and White House and regain the majority of State Houses in 2020.

Republicans have to be the ones to expose Trump.

Democrats have to be the voice of calm and reason.

No bible thumping. No Progressive platforms.

Calm, moderate voices.

Donald Trumps Legal Dog Whistle That’s Not A ‘Muslim’ Ban -‘EXECUTIVE ORDER: PROTECTING THE NATION FROM FOREIGN TERRORIST ENTRY INTO THE UNITED STATES’

Is this a ban on Muslims?

No. Who ever wrote this was very clever to NOT use the words ‘Muslim’ or ‘Islamic Terrorists’.

This is a Dog Whistle that bans people from 7 Countries who’s majority population are Muslim BUT – and this is a very big BUTT – HELPS minority religions (read white christians) to be allowed to come to america.

Trump says he’d allow ‘rich Muslims’ to enter U.S.

“I have a lot of friends that are Muslim and they call me,” Trump told MSNBC during the event. “In most cases, they’re very rich Muslims, OK?”

OK, Donald. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews then asked Trump whether his very rich Muslim friends would be allowed to enter the U.S. during President Trump’s Muslim ban.

“They’ll come in,” Trump said’.
