Stories From The Fringe – ‘The Latest Right-Wing Conspiracy Theory: Obama’s Third Term’

conspiracy theories

Townhall, Newsmax and Human Events are all great places to get right wing theories about all the evils of Obama and Democrats in general.

You know if these people spent even just 1/10th of the time and energy they spend on conspiracy theories, they could actually help solve our problems.

But then we’d lose all the entertainment value they bring.

So please keep the conspiracies coming!!!!

‘Among the main proponents of this theory—which comes in several different flavors—is Stansberry & Associates Investment Research, a publishing firm that hawks financial advice—and has a history of promoting dubious claims’.

‘Even before the president won reelection, the company began blasting out emails to subscribers of various conservative newsletters, warning of the coming third term of Obama’.

‘The emails went out as paid advertisements through the right-leaning Townhall.com, Newsmax, Human Events, and Gingrich Marketplace (a spokesman for Newt Gingrich and the vice president of Human Events both claimed this email blast was a mistake)’.

Yeah right!

‘The emails alerted readers to a vague—and somewhat counterintuitive—theory’:

‘Some unspecified but major event will lead to an epoch of American economic prosperity. Because it will happen under Obama’s watch, he’ll claim full credit and receive an unprecedented boost in approval ratings, giving him a mandate to demand and subsequently obtain a third term’.

What is wrong with the Democratic Party – ‘The Morning Plum: Skittish Democrats putting filibuster reform in peril’

willrogers1

‘Presuming Republicans vote unanimously against any changes, if Harry Reid loses six votes, filibuster reform is toast’.

‘The problem: Some Dem Senators are leery of changing the filibuster via the “constitutional option,” i.e., a rules change by a simple majority’.

‘In one sense, it’s apt that this is what is driving their reluctance: After all, what these Senators are really doing is reinforcing a status quo in which there is no longer majority rule in the Upper Chamber’.

‘The Hill reports this morning that senators Dianne Feinstein, Mark Pryor, and Carl Levin are uncomfortable with a simple-majority change’.

‘Senators Max Baucus and Jack Reed have yet to be persuaded’.

‘Senators John Kerry and Jay Rockefeller say they’re undecided but leaning towards a change. Senator-elect Joe Donnelly is uncommitted’.

Blog Running – ‘Obama to GOP: I’m done negotiating with myself’

donuts

‘Republican aides are circulating their summary of the White House’s opening bid on the fiscal cliff. They’re circulating it because they believe it fleshes out Speaker John Boehner’s complaint that “the White House has to get serious.”

‘Republicans are frustrated at the new Obama they’re facing: The Obama who refuses to negotiate with himself’.

‘That’s what you’re really seeing in this “proposal.”

‘Previously, Obama’s pattern had been to offer plans that roughly tracked where he thought the compromise should end up. The White House’s belief was that by being solicitous in their policy proposals, they would win goodwill on the other side, and even if they didn’t, the media would side with them, realizing they’d sought compromise and been rebuffed’.

‘They don’t believe that anymore’.

‘Perhaps the key lesson the White House took from the last couple of years is this: Don’t negotiate with yourself’.

‘If Republicans want to cut Medicare, let them propose the cuts’.

‘If they want to raise revenue through tax reform, let them identify the deductions’.

‘If they want deeper cuts in discretionary spending, let them settle on a number’.

‘And, above all, if they don’t like the White House’s preferred policies, let them propose their own. That way, if the White House eventually does give in and agree to some of their demands, Republicans will feel like they got one over on the president’.

‘A compromise isn’t measured by what you offer, it’s measured by what the other side feels they made you concede’.

‘The GOP is right: This isn’t a serious proposal’.

‘But it’s not evidence that Obama isn’t serious’.

‘He’s very serious about not negotiating with himself, and his opening bid proves it. Now that they’ve leaked his initial offer, the next question is obvious: What’s their offer’?

Republican Obstructionism – ‘Boehner Threatens to Kill Any Bill That Passes the Senate if Democrats Reform the Filibuster’

john boehner

‘We lost the election. Even in the House more people voted for Democrats then Republicans’.

‘We lost the Presidency. We lost 3 more seats in the Senate and we lost 11 seat in the House’.

‘Now America, since we lost ALL that, why do you think it’s wrong for us to say ‘Screw the Republic’. We want eveybody to agree with us. We want Government to be the way we want it’.

‘And if it doesn’t? We’ll just shut it down.’

‘That’ll teach America’.

Now what he really said – The same thing just boring.

‘Shortly after 5 p.m. today, John Boehner’s office released a statement pre-condemning a change to the filibuster. The key threat:

“Any bill that reaches a Republican-led House based on Senate Democrats’ heavy-handed power play would be dead on arrival.”

Republican Obstructionism – ‘Gingrich: House Republicans should stop negotiating with President Obama’

newt gingrich

I wonder how long it would take to have 234 recall elections of the Republicans in the House if they did just stop negotiating?

But please go ahead and just walk away.

This is becoming the new Republican mantra.

‘Boo Hoo! We lost the election and you STILL won’t let us have our way’.

You will show that you really don’t want a Republic. You just want Government your way. No one elses.

You will show that you didn’t learn from this election. You didn’t listen to the American people.

And you will show that walking away is all you know how to do.

See : ‘Top Republicans Walk Out of VP Biden’s Debt Talks’
‘Vice President Joe Biden’s debt ceiling talks hit a brick wall Thursday after two key Republicans walked out in a dispute over the idea of raising taxes’.

‘Cantor said the group had reached an “impasse” because Republicans oppose any and all tax hikes, while Democrats say they are a necessary in a balanced attempt at deficit reduction’.
@ : http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/top-republicans-walk-vp-bidens-debt-talks/story?id=13917319

And you show you not only don’t listen to the American people, you don’t care what they think.

See : ‘
New ABC-WP Poll: Most Americans Want to Raise Taxes on Wealthy to Avoid Fiscal Cliff’
@ : http://www.latinospost.com/articles/7456/20121128/new-abc-wp-poll-americans-want-raise.htm

But then, maybe you really do think the American people are that stupid.

So go ahead and listen to the man who lost to Mitt Romney.

Think about that.

‘Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said Wednesday that House Republicans should stop negotiating with President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats on the fiscal cliff, saying that by doing so, they give Obama all of the leverage in the talks’.

“One of the things I would say to House Republicans is to get a grip,” Gingrich said in a speech at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif’.

“They are the majority. They’re not the minority,” he said, enunciating the words as if explaining the concept to someone who did not understand it’.

“They don’t need to cave in to Obama; they don’t need to form a ‘Surrender Caucus.’”

“So my number one bit of advice to the congressional Republicans is simple: Back out of of all of this negotiating with Obama. The president is overwhelmingly dominant in the news media. You start setting up the definition of success finding an agreement with Obama, you just gave Obama the ability to say to you, ‘Not good enough,’” Gingrich said’.

What is wrong with the Republican Party – Rush Limbaugh says -Just Walk Away, Republicans’

An overweight drug addict who makes $40 Million a year is the 'Voice of Conservatism'.

An overweight drug addict who makes $40 Million a year is the ‘Voice of Conservatism’.

This is not something new or Earth shattering coming from Rush.

See : ‘Mitch McConnell’:
“We worked very hard to keep our fingerprints off of these proposals,” McConnell says. “Because we thought — correctly, I think — that the only way the American people would know that a great debate was going on was if the measures were not bipartisan”.

But that’s what Republicans don’t undertstand.

That’s what this election was about.

The American people are tired of NOT being governed. They actually WANT government to function.

Just walking away is just obstructionism.

Rush Limbaugh –
‘The Republicans lost. Now, they still control the House of Representatives. Boehner still runs the show there. But the only leverage that I can see that they’ve got is to back out of this and make sure that whatever happens, they don’t have any fingerprints on it’.

‘Bill O’Reilly Tells Atheist Leader ‘Christianity Is Not A Religion’

bill oreily

“It is a fact that Christianity is not a religion; it is a philosophy.” Bill O’Reilly
@ : http://www.christianpost.com/news/bill-oreilly-snaps-at-atheist-in-debate-on-christmas-calls-christianity-a-philosophy-85823/
‘In another great battle for the political ages, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and the president of American Atheists, David Silverman, locked horns once again on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 on the “Factor,” as the holiday sparks flew over the legitimacy of the Christmas holiday’.

‘But the undisputed highlight of this entire exchange has to be one of the most bewildering statements ever made, as O’Reilly shocked the atheist world – and probably most of the Christian and religious worlds too – by saying, “Christianity is not a religion,” but merely “a philosophy.”

‘A bemused Silverman looked at O’Reilly and told him that he could not believe what he had just heard’.

‘Now, Christianity is not the basic, religious denomination like Methodism or Baptist, but it most certainly is a religion, and all religions and non-religions are philosophical’.

‘What stinks the most about O’Reilly’s ridiculous statement is the fact that if President Obama had said this, every right wing, Birther-loving, evangelical, born again, conservative, Bible thumping, Holy Rolling, Pat Robertson screwball would be up in their racist arms over it. President Obama would probably have been impeached’.

‘The Time John McCain And Lindsey Graham Relayed Bad Intelligence On A Sunday Talk Show’

mccain on talk shows

Gasp! They did?????

I could have actually supported Sen. McCain in 2000. After all he was running against little George Bush and eventually Al (stab Bill Clinton in the back) Gore.

And I did support McCain for the surge.

But what he is doing now with UN Ambassador Rice is making him look so small.

‘In the 2003 lead-up to the Iraq War, McCain and Graham made appearances on Sunday talks shows such as Meet the Press, Fox News Sunday, and Face the Nation where they made the case that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and would not hesitate to use them’.

“He is lying, Tim, when he says he doesn’t have weapons of mass destruction,” Lindsay Graham said on Meet the Press on March 2, 2003′.

McCain, in a Feb. 16, 2003, appearance on Face the Nation, also made the case for the war based on intelligence showing weapons of mass destruction, even responding to a question that the CIA might not have been straightforward with weapons information as “a very reckless charge.”

“There’s not a doubt in my mind that Saddam Hussein would give a weapon of mass destruction to a terrorist organization,” McCain said. He added, “They have common cause in trying to destroy the United States of America.”

‘McCain then said that should the United States decide to go in alone, the war would end quickly because of the weak Iraqi army, with the possibilities of Iraq firing a chemical weapon at Israel’.

“I don’t think his army will fight — house-to-house fighting requires the — the most PR-proficient discipline on the part of military people, and they don’t have that,” McCain said. “I think that we are taking into account those kinds of possibilities. His army is very weak. I believe that we will win. There are certainly wild cards, ranging from launching a chemical or biological weapon at Israel to the human shield situation. But I have no doubt that we will prevail.”

Why America Is Failing – ‘Norquist: Republicans Should Hold Federal Government Hostage Every Month’

‘The last high-stakes fight over the debt ceiling resulted in record low approval ratings for Congress and the downgrading of U.S. credit for the first time in history. That one fight also cost taxpayers $18.9 billion. Norquist now wants to replicate this debacle 12 or possibly 52 times per year’.

Anybody who doesn’t think this unelected man doesn’t have huge power over the Republican Party is only fooling themselves.

Grover has a ‘base’ the in the Republican and teabagger parties that will primary ANY Representative or Senator who he wants.

MIKE ALLEN: “This president is not going to extend [Bush tax cuts], he knows that he loses his leverage that way”.

NORQUIST: “Well, the Republicans also have other leverage. Continuing resolutions on spending and the debt ceiling increase. They can give him debt ceiling increases once a month. They can have him on a rather short leash, you know, here’s your allowance, come back next month”.

ALLEN: “Okay, wait. You’re proposing that the debt ceiling be increased month by month”?

NORQUIST: “Monthly if he’s good. Weekly if he’s not”.

What is wrong with the Republican Party – ‘Rep. Gohmert(R-Tx): Obama Administration may have ‘A Bunch of Muslim Brotherhood Members Giving them Advice’

“My religion can beat up your religion.”

‘Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) spoke to anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist Frank Gaffney yesterday on Secure Freedom Radio where he alleged that the Obama administration actively aided Al Qaeda and follows the advice of the Muslim Brotherhood’.

‘The Texas congressman partnered with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and a group of Republicans to demand investigations of Muslim Americans serving in the administration, warning that Muslim Brotherhood secret agents have successfully conducted “deep penetration” of the U.S. government’.

‘After the witch hunt was roundly criticized by Democrats and Republicans alike, Bachmann ended up literally running away from reporters’.

‘But Gaffney and Gohmert remained defenders of the witch hunt, with Gaffney accusing Speaker John Boehner of “parroting the Muslim Brotherhood line” and Gohmert claiming that Obama “has helped jump-start a new Ottoman Empire.”

Gohmert: “You look at the decisions it made especially in the last two years in going through the revolutions in Northern Africa and across the Middle East and to the Far East, and the only way you can explain the horrendous decisions that were so completely wrongheaded would be if this administration had a bunch of Muslim Brotherhood members giving them advice”.
