The Last Of The Millenniums

Just because it always has been, doesn't mean it always will be

“I see it is acknowledgement of those who stand for what is right because it is right…even when they stand alone”.
Perfect.

Plain Truth

With the election less than three days away, media sources are hinting that the turnout of early voters in several key battleground States may yield clues to its outcome. It is unclear whether this is based on voter affiliation or the relentless propaganda polling that occurs as you leave the building. Election experts concede that early voting is typically dominated by those who made up their mind back in February and though the trend has historically favored Republicans, current estimates show Democrats with a higher turnout….Interesting.

Many good, hard working people among us have grown wise to the end game of politics, becoming more and more frustrated with the lack of resolve and continuity in our Government. While the frustration is almost always justified, there is at least one reaction that seldom is…it comes on Election Day when these same good, hard working, frustrated people wake up with no intention…

I’ll be busy for the next few days.  So I will let one of my idols remind you of what you’re sick of hearing me say:

Elections matter.

VOTE on November 6 if you haven’t already!  If Obama wins, which I hope he will, I will be able to get off my soapbox and re-establish myself as a humor blogger instead of a political one.  You can thank me later!

VOTE!

Sunday Picks – Election Edition

Backwoods 68 – 48 = 58%
Kane 71 – 59 = 54%

This week
Backwoods – 9-4
Kane – 8-5

Chicago pounded Tennessee. That will leave a mark and may mean that Chicago is really serious about the Super Bowl.

Carolina beat Washington. How? I’d just seen this report how RG3 was going to be the rookie QB of the year. Yeah right.

Peyton looks good.

Still can’t believe Minni lost to Seattle. Seattle does make good teams play ugly.

And Pittsburg over the Giants? I REALLY hate the NFC East!

The Mitt Romney Lie : 47 percent of Americans ‘Believe they are Victims’ and feel ‘Entitled’

The Mitt Romney Lie – ‘War for Someone Else’

‘Ryan says Obama compromises Judeo-Christian values’

‘In the campaign’s last week, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Ryan, his running mate, have argued that if elected, they would end partisan divisiveness and work with Democrats to find solutions in Washington’.

CASTLE ROCK, Colorado (Reuters) – ‘In a telephone call with evangelical voters Sunday night, U.S. Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan told potential voters that President Barack Obama’s path for the United States compromises Judeo-Christian values’.

‘Speaking to the Faith and Freedom Coalition, a leading group of Christian conservatives, Ryan attacked Obama’s vision in stark terms’.

“It’s a dangerous path,” Ryan said of Obama’s plan for the United States. “It’s a path that grows government, restricts freedom and liberty, and compromises those values, those Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values that made us such a great and exceptional nation in the first place.”

‘New Jersey Tea Party Group Enraged At Christie, Says He ‘Put Country In Jeopardy’

The real meaning of Hating President Obama more then Loving America.

From Michael Hayne over at America Blog :

‘Damn the Teaparty for making a fairly liberal person defend Chris Christie, but this is precisely the type of mindless and nauseatingly petty obstructionism that has plagued president Obama during his first term, so if he’s reelected he may actually be able to have a whole term’.

‘But it clearly illustrates the hate for Obama is so ridiculously petty and heated, Teabaggers are willing to overlook damage from a major storm and how their own governor showed tremendous leadership, even when it occurred in their own state’.

‘Here’s the ever-so profound, reasonable and compassionate words of wisdom from the Bayshore Tea Party as discovered on their Facebook page’:

“Dear members and friends”,

“First and foremost, we hope that everyone is safe. We are aware that many of our members and people in their communities have lost their power, their belongings and even their entire homes. We will, as a group, try to help in any way we can”.

“Governor Christie has decided that in an attempt to repair our state, he put our country in jeopardy. He is responsible for a bump in the polls for Obama. I will never forgive him for that and will make it my business to campaign for an alternate candidate”.

“Please, when you are able, call his office, tweet him, facebook him and let him know if you feel the same way. The Tea Party helped him get elected and the Tea Party can get him unelected. If you haven’t been online or watching t.v., Christie has been praising Obama like a schoolgirl because he wants Romney to lose. We will talk about that soon. Maybe all of you don’t agree with this, but personally, I will be on a mission”.
