He should be using the ‘bully pulpit’ 2, 3, 6 days a week saying this.
RUN AGAINST THE OBSTRUCTION.
RUN AGAINST REPUBLICANS REFUSING TO RAISE THE WAGE.
RUN AGAINST REPUBLICANS VOTING 50 TIMES TO DEFUND OBAMACARE _ AND OFFER NOTHING IN EXCHANGE.
RUN AGAINST REPUBLICANS WANTING TO CONTROL WOMEN’S BODIES AND CHOICE.
RUN AGAINST REPUBLICAN TRYING TO STOP YOU FROM VOTING.
‘Let’s just say it: The Republicans are the problem’.

President Obama’s remarks at a fundraiser in CHicago :
“Now, you’ll hear if you watch the nightly news or you read the newspapers that, well, there’s gridlock, Congress is broken, approval ratings for Congress are terrible”.
“And there’s a tendency to say, a plague on both your houses”.
“But the truth of the matter is that the problem in Congress is very specific”.
“We have a group of folks in the Republican Party who have taken over who are so ideologically rigid, who are so committed to an economic theory that says if folks at the top do very well then everybody else is somehow going to do well”…
“So the problem is not Dick Durbin”.
“The problem is not Michael Bennet”.
” The problem is not that the Democrats are overly ideological — because the truth of the matter is, is that the Democrats in Congress have consistently been willing to compromise and reach out to the other side”.
“There are no radical proposals coming out from the left”.
“When we talk about climate change, we talk about how do we incentivize through the market greater investment in clean energy”.
“When we talk about immigration reform there’s no wild-eyed romanticism. We say we’re going to be tough on the borders, but let’s also make sure that the system works to allow families to stay together, and that we’re attracting talent like Michael who constantly replenish the American Dream”.
“When we talk about taxes we don’t say we’re going to have rates in the 70 percent or 90 percent when it comes to income like existed here 50, 60 years ago. We say let’s just make sure that those of us who have been incredibly blessed by this country”
“Are giving back to kids so that they’re getting a good start in life”,
“So that they get early childhood education”,
“So that struggling middle-class families are able to finance their education, and that if a talented young person wants to go into teaching or wants to become a social worker that they’re not burdened by hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of debt”.
“Health care — we didn’t suddenly impose some wild, crazy system”.
“All we said was let’s make sure everybody has insurance”.
“And this made the other side go nuts — the simple idea that in the wealthiest nation on Earth, nobody should go bankrupt because somebody in their family gets sick, working within a private system”.
“So when you hear a false equivalence that somehow, well, Congress is just broken, it’s not true”.
“What’s broken right now is a Republican Party that repeatedly says no to proven, time-tested strategies to grow the economy, create more jobs, ensure fairness, open up opportunity to all people”.

It’s Obama’s fault and the Democrats are the one’s holding back the economy……
Today is May 23rd……
‘April 7, 2014’
‘Senate Passes Unemployment Benefits Extension’
‘The Senate approved a bill extending long-term unemployment benefits for five months. Six Republicans joined Senate Democrats in extending unemployment insurance with a vote of 59-38. The measure is expected to be dead on arrival in the House’.
‘The bill has faced trouble since the bipartisan deal was struck in mid-March, after Republican attempts to filibuster had failed’.

‘John Boehner and House Republicans skipped town for Memorial Day vacation while still refusing to vote on the Senate passed unemployment benefits extension’.

Unless you enjoy being talked down to, stop voting for Republicans.’The moderator invited the women to join the stage, saying, “It’s so much more ornamental if the four of you would be on the stage with the four of us.”
Ted Cruz :
“The Senate Democrats are going to be voting on a constitutional amendment to repeal the First Amendment.”
The First Amendment :
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances”.
So if we limit the amount of money that people can ‘donate’ to political campaigns or have them be disclosed so we know who is giving and how much they are giving……then, in Ted Cruz’s mind…
* Prevent us from practicing our chosen religion.
* Stop us from speaking freely.
* Stop newspapers, reporters, news shows.
* Stop us from assemble.
* Stop us from petitioning our Government.
Having the wealth and corporations limited and being told how much they give to political organizations and campaigns is going to stop all that.
And in the real World……
‘Senate Democrats Want To Change The Constitution To Stop ‘Dark Money’
‘Senate Democrats plan to bring a constitutional amendment to the Senate floor this year that would undo recent rulings on campaign finance made by the Supreme Court’.
‘The decisions — including 2010’s Citizens United case and the recent McCutcheon v. FEC — have eliminated limits on millions of dollars’ worth of donations to political campaigns from corporations, labor unions, and generally wealthy individuals’.
‘The amendment, which is being sponsored by New Mexico Sen. Tom Udall, would give back authority to Congress and state governments in regulating campaign spending’.
‘The amendment is supported by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, who announced the legislation at a Senate Rules Committee hearing Wednesday. Schumer said there would be a vote on the amendment by the end of the year’.
“The Supreme Court is trying to take this country back to the days of the robber barons, allowing dark money to flood our elections,” Schumer said’.
“That needs to stop, and it needs to stop now. The only way to undo the damage the court has done is to pass Senator Udall’s amendment to the Constitution, and Senate Democrats are going to try to do that. Before the year is out, we’re going to bring it up on the Senate floor for a vote, where we hope Republicans will join us in ensuring the wealthy can’t drown out middle-class voices in our democracy.”
‘The 2010 Citizens United ruling removed restrictions on corporations and unions from spending limits on political campaigns, which led to the advent of so-called Super PACs’.
‘The recent McCutcheon decision struck down caps that individuals can make to candidates or political parties during a two-year election cycle’.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — ‘McConnell told reporters Friday that the fate of the state exchange is unconnected to the federal health care law’.
‘Yet the exchange would not exist, if not for the law that created it’.
‘Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell says he would try to repeal the Affordable Care Act if he’s elected Senate majority leader’.
‘But the veteran senator won’t say what would happen to the 413,000 Kentuckians who have health insurance through the state’s health care exchange’.

To me, this is going to fall squarely on the Supreme Court.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”.
The Robert’s Supreme Court decided to ‘make law’ on religion.
‘Officials defended that decision, saying the “neo-pagan” faith does not fall within the Judeo-Christian tradition and “invokes polytheistic, pre-Christian deities.”
‘County officials in Virginia have apparently violated the constitution by designating which religious leaders can deliver prayers before public meetings, according to the state’s American Civil Liberties Union’.
‘The ACLU sent a letter Thursday to the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors, which had limited opening prayers to ordained leaders of monotheistic religions’.
“The First Amendment requires governing bodies to allow everyone the chance to deliver prayers before official meetings,” said the Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. “If they don’t, then what they’re doing is unconstitutional.”
‘A state appeals court upheld the county’s policy in a 2005 ruling, and the board has invited local clergy whose names are drawn from an official county list’.
‘Almost all of those religious leaders have represented Christian denominations, and the county has denied a Wiccan’s request to be added to the list’.
Officials defended that decision, saying the “neo-pagan” faith does not fall within the Judeo-Christian tradition and “invokes polytheistic, pre-Christian deities.”

‘Tea Party Conservative hero Ben Carson went on The View earlier this week and was given a platform to espouse his views with little push back. The Conservative media went gaga over his performance saying he’s the best conservatives values spokesman around’.
Ben Carson :
“When you rob someone of their incentive to go out there and improve themselves, you are not doing them any favors. When you take somebody and pat them on the head and say, ‘There, there, you poor little thing. … Let me give you housing subsidies, let me give you free health care because you can’t do that”.
‘See here’s the thing, though. It turns out that for some strange reason, the evil welfare system didn’t seem to destroy the incentive for his own mother to go out and make things better for her and her family’:
See…Ben Carson’s Mom wasn’t getting welfare….she was getting a subsidy.
“By the time I reached ninth grade, mother had made such strides that she received nothing but food stamps. She couldn’t have provided for us and kept up the house without that subsidy.”
