A Republican World – Unemployed? We Don’t Have Time For That….We Need A 9th Select Committee On Benghazi – ‘Republicans Block Hearing on Long-Term Jobless Benefits’

‘Before leaving for recess, the Senate finally passed a bipartisan five-month extension of benefits for Americans who have been unemployed for six months or longer’.

‘Since the benefits lapsed at the beginning of 2014, more than 2 million workers have been affected, and the economy lost $3 billion in January and February alone’.

‘Now the debate has shifted to the House, and this week Democrats are set to pressure Speaker John Boehner to take up the Senate bill’.

‘A fairly routine hearing of the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, where several prominent House Democrats would appear along with some long-term jobless Americans affected by the expiration’.

‘But early Tuesday morning, hours before the scheduled hearing, Republican leadership in the House inexplicably denied the committee the space it had booked in the Rayburn House Office Building’.

The Republican War On Women – ‘Here’s Why Republicans Have No Alternative To Obamacare ‘ – ‘The U.S. Is One Of The Only Countries In The World Where Maternal Deaths Are Rising’

war on women10

war on women18

‘Deaths related to pregnancy and childbearing have increased in the United States over the past decade, putting maternal mortality at nearly its highest rate in a quarter century, according to a new study published in the Lancet’.

‘The U.S. is one of just eight countries where maternal deaths increased between 2003 and 2013; the other nations in this dubious category include Afghanistan, El Salvador, Belize, and South Sudan’.

‘According to the researchers, for every 100,000 births in the U.S. last year, about 18.5 women died’.

‘That doesn’t stack up very well with the mortality rates in other nations’.

‘A woman giving birth in America is more than twice as likely to die as a woman in Saudi Arabia or China, and three times as likely to die as a woman in the United Kingdom’.

‘It’s also evidence that this issue is getting worse’.

‘Back in 1990, the United States’ maternal mortality rate was 12.4 women per 100,000 births’.

‘In 2003, it was 17.6’.

‘The Lancet study is just the latest data point in a mounting pile of research about this country’s maternal mortality problem’.

‘Despite the fact that giving birth in the U.S. costs more than anywhere else in the world, that’s not guaranteeing a better quality of care for women in this country — particularly for women of color’.

  • ‘African American mothers are more than three times as likely to die as a result of pregnancy and childbirth than their white counterparts’.
  • ‘Many women are dying from chronic health issues that are exacerbated by their pregnancies because they didn’t receive adequate care to manage their conditions beforehand’.
  • ‘Other women lack the resources to prevent pregnancy if they’re not financially stable enough to have a child’.
  • ‘And many expectant mothers struggle to get the prenatal care they need during their pregnancies’.

Debunking The Republican Lies – ‘Rand Paul Tells A Blatant Lie About Obamacare, Gets Fact-Checked’

rand paul15

‘In a newsletter sent by the Senator Rand Paul, it’s evident math is not Paul’s strongest subject’:

Rand Paul :

“Since the implementation of Obamacare, hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians have received cancellation notices from their current health care providers. For every Kentuckian that has enrolled in Obamacare, 40 have been dropped from their coverage”.

For every one Kentuckian that has enrolled in Obamacare, 40 have been dropped from their coverage’!?

‘That is certainly a worthy Obamacare horror story’.

‘First off, through reports from the Associated Press, around 130,000 Kentuckians have received cancellation notices’.

‘However, the Kentucky Department of insurance puts the number at 168,000’.

‘In late April 2014, the state announced that 82,795 Kentuckians had purchased private plans on Kynect (the state’s exchange) and 330,615 others have qualified for Medicaid coverage, bringing the total to 413,410 who have benefited from Obamacare’.

‘So, let’s use Rand Paul’s math: 413,140 Obamacare benefices x 40 = 168,000 cancellations. Did Paul pass math class’?

rand paul18

‘According to Politifact’s findings, and the work of common seventh graders, that’s not mathematically possible’.

‘If you take the narrowest definition of “sign-ups,” 82,795, there would have to be 3.3 million cancellations in the state, and unfortunately, and there aren’t even that many Kentuckians with private insurance plans that could be cancelled’.

Debunking The Republican Lies – ‘All 39 People Interviewed By Issa Committee Report Zero White House Involvement In IRS Screening’

darrells issas irs scandal1

‘A new Democratic staff report released today by House Oversight & Government Reform Committee Ranking Member Elijah Cummings (D-MD) shows months of interviews by Rep. Darrell Issa’s (R-CA) majority staff yielded absolutely no evidence of White House involvement or political targeting in the IRS’s enhanced screening of Tea Party groups seeking tax-exempt status’.

‘Though Issa has refused to release the entire transcripts — as he pledged to do in June 2013 — the report contains the public portions of all 39 interviews interviewed by the Republican majority’.

‘The report notes that those interviewed include “employees from the Cincinnati and Washington D.C. offices at every level—’

‘From Screening Agents’

‘To the former IRS Commissioner’

‘To the Chief of Staff’

‘To the Treasury Secretary,”

‘And “Republicans’,

‘And individuals with no political affiliation.”

  • ‘Each of the witnesses was asked whether they had any knowledge of White House involvement or political motivation’.

‘None reported any’.

A Republican World – ‘Republican Congressman brags about cutting Benghazi security funding on CNN’

rep brags about cutting funding

‘Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) joyfully takes credit for supporting legislation that cut funding for embassy security, leading to the death of three Americans from an attack against an under-staffed outpost in Benghazi, Libya’.

‘Paul Ryan, Darrel Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic security positions’.

‘Under the Paul Ryan’s budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to embassy security’.

A Republican teabagger World – ‘Facebook Page ‘Barack Obama Must Die’ Highlights Conservative Rhetoric’

‘If someone posts a picture of a mother breast-feeding, Facebook takes it down’.

‘If someone makes a page called ‘Barack Obama Must Die,’ Facebook lets it stay up’.

‘Yet again, Republicans, who are members of the “pro-life” party show the world their sheer stupidity by making another hate-group page aimed at the demise, torture, and ugly rhetoric against President Obama’.

‘The page on Facebook, which has acquired over 480 supporters made up mostly by Obama-hating conservatives and liberal trolls, ranges from pictures of Obama as the Joker, to the page Admin’s own statement on the issue’:

“I want to thank everyone for the supporting this page and even the ones that don’t agree with the page this goes for you two. First off we don’t allow hate or threats towards other this page isn’t about hurting anyone or wishing it we are simply informing you scientific fact that Obama himself will die one day so people that think he’s like a god won’t be so hurt by this fact Have a great day”.

‘This page is just one of many pages dedicated to the hate of President Obama. Some of the others include ‘:

‘I hate it when I wake up in the morning and Barack Obama is president’,

‘I hate Barack Obama’,

‘I hate Barack Obama (II)’,

‘Obama Hate Page’!!!.

I say keep it coming. The more the conservatives scream ‘HATE,’ the better the liberals look’.
