- ‘Emirjeta Xhelili, 32, attacked two Muslim women pushing their babies in strollers — punching them in the face and trying to pull off their hijabs on 1:30 pm Thursday. The incident occured near Xhelili’s Brooklyn home in Bath Beach’.
‘According to prosecutors on Friday, Xhelili yelled at her victims’:
“Get the f–k out of here. Get the f–k out of America, b—–s. This is America-you shouldn’t be different from us.”
‘She punched one of her victims in the face, kicked both in their legs, and tried to rip off their hijabs. Prosecutors even alleged that she tried knocking over the stroller that contained a 15-month-old baby’.
According to Assistant District Attorney Kelli Muse, “She didn’t even care for the well-being of a baby — that’s how serious this hate crime is.”
