How Brexit and Trump Compare – ‘Trump hails Brexit vote on visit to Scotland’ – ‘EU referendum: Moody’s cut UK’s credit outlook to ‘negative’

Just like the Brexit campaign that made promises that they never intended to keep – i.e. ‘lies’, Trump does the same.

Now Trump proclaims that the Brexit vote will be ‘fantastic’ for Britain.

  • How’s that credit downgrade working for you???????
  • Oh and your Pound? Almost a 10% drop in value yesterday.

Making Britain Great Again!!!!!

‘Donald Trump hailed Britain’s vote to leave the EU as “fantastic” shortly after arriving in Scotland on Friday for his first international trip since becoming the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’.

“I think it’s a great thing. I think it’s a fantastic thing,” he told reporters’ (2).

‘Moody’s said the referendum result would have “negative implications for the country’s medium-term growth outlook”, and it lowered the UK’s long term issuer and debt ratings to “negative” from “stable”.

‘And, the carnage continues. Already the Brexit ringleaders have recanted on two major promises’.

  • ‘No monies “saved” because of Brexit will be re-allocated to the NHS (the figure of £350m a day was bruited about and used in “LEAVE” campaign billboards)’.
  • ‘There will likely be NO appreciable reduction in immigration in the foreseeable future, in spite of Brexit leaders’ pre-vote promises’.

‘British voters were sold a crock of shit and they willingly bought it’.(1)

  1. Plus, the man was standing in Scotland who voted to remain and will very likely, per the Scottish PM, hold a referendum to leave the UK and rejoin the EU. So, talk about not reading your audience. I watched pundits talk about this being a good sign for Trump, but I see what you do. Here is a man touting something that the financial markets are and will likely continue to show concern over. Doesn’t that show incredibly lack of business acumen?
