Blog Running – ‘If Sanders supporters complained about other things the way they complain about election results’

You can do the research yourself.
If Bernie wins then it’s ‘democracy in action’.

But whenever Bernie loses it’s ‘the process is rigged against us’.

I’m getting ready to accept a Donald Trump Presidency. Along with a Senate still in Republican hands as will be the House and little to no gains in State houses.

Why?

Bernie is getting ready to do as much harm to Hillary as he can.

Why?

Because Bernie doesn’t think he was ‘respected’.

Just like Republicans when they did everything they could to obstruct anything Obama tried to do.

‘Petty And Childish: Congressman Demands “Respect,” But Doesn’t Know What He Wants’
“We’re not going to be disrespected,” conservative Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., added. “We have to get something out of this. And I don’t know what that even is.”(1)

Just like Bernie and his ‘supporters’.
————————

CHESS:
‘This game is rigged. The pawns get to move almost NOWHERE, whereas the QUEEN (DETECT ANY RESEMBLANCE HERE???) can just move wherever she likes with no apparent rhyme or reason’.

SCRABBLE:
‘I played exactly the same word as my opponent, using exactly the same letters, and received fewer points for it — just because I wasn’t on some pink square, which my opponent claimed gave you DOUBLE the points’.

TENNIS:
‘Sometimes when the ball lands it is worth 10 points and sometimes it is worth 15 points? This is not consistent. Also, sometimes you only need to win, like, 18 games? But other times you need to win maybe 30? The rules should not be like this’.

HEARTS:
‘THIS GAME IS EVEN MORE RIGGED THAN THE ECONOMY. Hear me out. Usually when you get a heart or the queen of spades, it is an obvious negative, but somehow if you get ALL of the hearts and the queen of spades, you win’?

SORRY:
‘You should get to move forward only the number of squares that the card says. You should not get to land on “slides” and suddenly move forward 10 squares’.

MONOPOLY:
‘Where do I even start with this? I am literally shaking as I type. This game is a travesty. Just because my opponent got two blue properties, she got to charge me INSANE AMOUNTS whenever I landed on them? I didn’t ASK to stay in her Park Place hotel. I would gladly sleep outdoors beneath a tent and keep my integrity, but this option was not provided’.

COIN TOSS:
‘Coins should come up as heads 50 percent of the time, and the fact that they don’t casts the whole system of currency-based games into suspicion’.

BASKETBALL:
‘This game is just nonsense and it upset me a lot. Sometimes my opponent would get three points for getting the ball into the basket, and sometimes she would get two points. And sometimes they gave her “free throws” — give me a break’.

  1. Please note the media likes conflict, so without conflict in the GOP election, other than significant buyers’ remorse, the attention is on the Dem race. the 2008 race was acrimonious as well, but they coalesced around Obama.

Both are speaking to the issues with potential solutions, as opposed to Trump who basically says he is the solution, which should bring his lack of credibility to the forefront. Bernie and Hillary need to focus on the issues and when the winner is known, the other needs to support the winner.

Not only is Trump a horrible candidate, his stances on climate change denial, increasing the debt, civil rights, foreign policy and not even knowing we have a water problem are scary.

    • This is more then the media.
I make it a point to listen to 1 of Bernie’s speeches every day.
      Listen to it.
He is not running against Trump.
He is not running on having solutions.
His ‘Free tuition’ is based on each State matching Federal funds.
(Show me a State that has an extra $100 to $400 million dollars laying around to put into their budgets to match.)
His Medicare for All will raise taxes on EVERYONE – and the low 2.6% increase is based on revenue collected off of an economy running at 5.6% growth.
      Impossible to do.
He mumbled his way through with his patented sound bites to the Daily News on how to break up banks, take money out of politics and wall street.
I am reading and hearing a lot of rumbles that this is not his aids doing some chest pounding for the campaign.
This is coming straight from Bernie.
He won’t drop out. He is going to the convention. Demand the whole platform be his talking points and if/when that doesn’t happen, he is just going to walk away and start a ‘party/movement’ on his own.
He is planning on not helping Hillary or the Democrats but will do as much harm to her as he can.

      • He will need to coalesce around her if she wins and vice versa. It will be decided soon enough, but he technically has a chance, so it is his right to still run.

Your points about the difference between aspirational liberalism and pragmatic liberalism is relevant. If Clinton is the nominee and Trump attacks her husband, she can point to 22 million jobs created on his watch, more than 6 million more than the best Republican, plus the last president who balanced the budget.

If Bernie wins, he will need a dose of pragmatism and a very thick skin. The GOP has been baiting Dems to get him to win, as he will see an all out attack on his being a “communist” as many voters don’t know the difference between socialism and communism and his raising taxes, although he is proposing Medicare for all.

      • Again the rumblings I am hearing are from people that usually don’t rumble.
Sanders has zero chance of winning the nomination.
Hillary would have to win zero delegates in both NJ and CA.
        ZERO.
And even then, 2/3 of her Super delegates would have to flip and not to a ‘commie’ but to socialism.
24 hours a day FOX will spin the fact and it is a fact, that Bernie has no detailed solutions for his college tuition, medicare for all, wall street or banks.
Now neither does Trump but the 24 hour Republican news machine will grind and grind on Bernie.
With Trump, Republicans will have to explain their support and that will lead to a flip in the Senate and a large change in the House and 3-5 State houses flipped.
The State House are HUGE with the 2020 census coming up for re-districting.
If Bernie were to be the nominee, Demos lose the Senate for the same reason Republians will lose under Trump vs Clinton.
Dems trying to explain Bernie’s empty plans.
Dems do not have a 24 hour news machine like FOX.
And like it or not, Trump is the master of the ‘bully pulpit’.

      • You obviously have more passion on this than I do. I agree Hillary is the better nominee for many of the reasons you say (and is clearly better than Trump). But, Bernie must be given his chance as his voice is being heard. If that chance is denied, the party runs the risk of alienation of those impassioned followers of Bernie’s. Bernie’s followers will need to be courted with Bernie’s endorsement, just as Hillary’s were when Obama won. From what I glean from watching the pundits on PBS Newshour is Bernie wants a voice at the table. He has earned that right.

      • Marshall wraps it up better than I ever could :
        http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/sanders-camp-flirts-with-going-full-burn-it-down

I keep hearing that phrase – “Bernie’s earned the right”.

Hillary has 3 million more popular votes then Bernie.
Hillary has won in more States then Bernie.
Hillary has won more pldged delegates then Bernie.

So what ‘rights’ has she earned?

We’ll see what happens over the next 2 months but if Bernie does as many thinks he is going to do and disrupt the convention, disrupt the Democratic Party’s message on beating Trump, THAT he does not have a right to do.

  2. As long as Bernie keeps winning, he deserves a place at the table. Hillary needs something decisive to happen. People are still voting with their feet. Bernie’s supporters need to be courted not insulted. They are passionate about their guy and as an Independent voter seeing the GOP as on the wrong side of more issues than not with a narcissistic candidate, the Dems should do their best to welcome them. I would love to see Hillary say “we” meaning Bernie and I together want to help shape the future. I recognize fully Bernie’s role in making this happen, but she has not put him away yet as a candidate.

Again, I have believed all along Hillary is the better candidate, so I am with you on that.
