The Last Of The Millenniums

Just because it always has been, doesn't mean it always will be

Hurting The American Economy – Raising The Wage – ‘SO HOW ARE RICH CEOS DOING IN THEIR CONCENTRATION CAMPS THESE DAYS’?

raise the wage vs CEO pay

The Republican mantra has always been you can’t raise the minimum wage because it will kill jobs.

How will it kill jobs?

Because companies won’t make as much so won’t be able to hire people.

WHy can’t they hire more people?

Because if you raise the wage, the cost of everything will go up and people will stop shopping.

So what’s the difference between giving a CEO $1.9 million more a year vs. giving a worker an extra $1.00 an hour (that will equal a full time worker $2080 a year).

‘At public companies with market values of more than $1 billion and that had filed proxies by April 30’,

‘The average package for the top 200 best paid chief executives was worth $22.6 million’,

  • ‘Trumping last year’s average of $20.7 million’,

‘And the median was $17.6 million’.

  • ‘Those are the highest amounts since Equilar began keeping track in 2006’.

‘… like an all-you-can-eat buffet for America’s captains of industry, it seems there is no end to how much money executives can devour’.

‘For the first time, all 10 of the top-paid C.E.O.s on Equilar’s list received at least $50 million last year’.

But an extra $1 an hour = $2080 for a full time employee will ‘hurt the economy’.
