When I turned on my computer this morning, it showed I was disconnected.

Having not had that much coffee yet, I checked my mail, wrote back a few comments and was into my 3rd post here when if finally clicked.

I’m posting without being connected to the net.

The Thought For Today

‘Why America is NOT the greatest country in the world, anymore’

Worth reposting over and over and over until THIS is the conversation.

Truth hurts doesn’t it?

First Word – ‘New York Considers Becoming First State To Ban Declawing Cats’

declawed cats

Good.

No one, absolutely no one can guarantee that a cat will never get lose outside.

And the pain??

“Declawing is more accurately described by the term de-knuckling and is not merely the removal of the claws, as the term “declawing” implies. In humans, fingernails grow from the skin, but in animals that hunt prey, the claws grow from the bone; therefore, the last bone is amputated so the claw cannot re-grow. The last bone of each of the ten front toes of a cat’s paw is amputated. Also, the tendons, nerves, and ligaments that enable normal function and movement of the paw are severed. An analogous procedure applied to humans would be cutting off each finger at the last joint”.

‘Manhattan Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D) has drawn up a bill that would make New York the first state in the country to officially ban declawing’.

‘Speaking with Gothamist, Rosenthal laid out the logic behind her stance on declawing’.

“There’s no reason to do it unless the animal has [an] infection that is never going away, or if there is a cancer or tumor-related issue in the claw,” she said. “It’s basically done because humans want it done, and I don’t think it’s our right to mutilate our animals for our own satisfaction.”

Who are the support staff for these people?

‘Marco Rubio on March 30, telling us going to war with Iraq was the right thing to do’:

“The world is a better place because Saddam Hussein does not in Iraq. So I think, Hindsight is always 20/20, but we don’t know what the world would look like if Saddam Hussein was still there. But I doubt it would look better in terms of — it will be worst — or we are just bad for different reasons.”

45 days later…….

‘Marco Rubio on May 13 telling us that he would not have been in favor of the Iraq War…’

Republican Clown Car – Republicans 2016 – Chris Christie: I’d Choose Sarah Palin For My VP’

I keep thinking I’m in a dream and eventually an actual intelligent, moderate Republican will announce for the Republican nomination.

Does he know how big of a joke he has become?

DOVER, N.H. – ‘While answering the question “Who would you choose as a running mate if you decide to run for president?” during a New Hampshire town hall meeting, Christie – after a sustained ovation from the crowd – replied, “someone who’s been through a campaign before. I’ve got no time to waste breaking in a political nobody. The GOP doesn’t have that kind of time anymore.”

‘After one audience member shouted “Sarah Palin!”, several audience members gasped, while many in the crowd cheered and applauded’.

“Sure,” replied the Governor. “I’d chose someone like Governor Palin. There aren’t many people who have as large a base as she’s got. Judging by your reaction here in New Hampshire, sure – why not. I’d choose Sarah Palin.”
