‘A quarter of the country, after all, feels that the leading reason for inequality in America is that the poor don’t work hard enough’.
‘Most of America’s richest think poor people have it easy in this country, according to a new report released by the Pew Research Center’.
‘The center surveyed a nationally representative group of people this past fall, and found that the majority of the country’s most financially secure citizens (54 percent at the very top, and 57 percent just below) believe the…..
“poor have it easy because they can get government benefits without doing anything in return.”
‘More than 80 House Republicans are again seeking to block federal funding for abortion providers like Planned Parenthood, saying they want to defund “the big abortion industry.”
“Planned Parenthood and organizations like it that profit off the destruction of innocent life do not deserve one more dime from American taxpayers,” Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) wrote in a release Thursday after reintroducing the bill’.
‘Black, who spent 40 years as a nurse, said her legislation would “clarify the original intent and spirit of the law” that prevents federal dollars from being used in abortions’.
‘The bill targets a funding program called Title X family planning grants, which give money for services ranging from infertility counseling to STD testing. Planned Parenthood is the country’s largest recipient of the grants’.
‘Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.), co-chairman of the Pro-Life Caucus, said the federal government should not be supporting Planned Parenthood at all, describing the nonprofit as “Child Abuse, Incorporated.”
“The federal government should not be subsidizing the largest abortion chain in America, Planned Parenthood,” Smith said’.
‘Abortions make up about 3 percent of all Planned Parenthood’s services, according to the group’s 2013 yearly report. About 40 percent of its funding comes from government sources, which also includes Medicaid’.

There won’t be a ‘compromise’ with a Democratic Senate because there isn’t a Democratic Senate so Mitch “30 Million Without Health Care Isn’t The Issue” McConnell will just allow the vote to pass this.
So for all you who didn’t vote because the President and the Democrats didn’t give you exactly what you wanted over the last 6 years…….here’s a sample of what the Republicans will take away from you……
‘House Republicans passed a bill would take away health insurance from at least 1 million workers by a vote of 252-172’.
‘The Affordable Care Act requires large employers to offer health insurance to those who work at least 30 hours a week. The bill would change that threshold to 40 hours a week’.(1)
‘The deceptively named Save American Workers Act would do the exact opposite’.
‘Half of the workers impacted would not be able to get new health care coverage so that they would have no health insurance’.
‘Paul Ryan claimed that ACA was devised by central planning and had a secret agenda to destroy the economy’.
‘Republicans tried to cover for the fact that all of their predictions concerning the economic impact of the ACA were wrong by suggesting that unless this bill was passed all, the economy was going to crash and burn under the weight of the ACA’.

You have a protection order form the court because a ex spouse did or has threatened to harm you.
So lets give them a concealed carry permit.
LANSING — ‘Advocates for victims of domestic violence are among those opposed to a bill awaiting the signature of Gov. Rick Snyder that would eliminate county gun boards and make Michigan a true “shall-issue” state for concealed weapons permits’.
‘Among the controversial provisions of Senate Bill 789 is one that says concealed weapons permits must be issued, even to persons subject to personal protection orders for domestic violence or stalking, provided they would otherwise be eligible for a permit and a ban on obtaining a gun is not a condition of their personal protection orders’.
“Putting firearms in the hands of domestic violence perpetrators is dangerous; removing commonsense protections is dangerous,” said Kathy Hagenian, executive policy director for the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence in Okemos’.

‘ABC News 4 reports SC State Rep. Alan Clemmons has introduced House Bill 3023, which would require schools to add a three-week course on the Second Amendment. Furthermore, the new gun rights curriculum would require approval by the NRA’.
‘Clemmons told reporters’:
“Students today need to learn about the Second Amendment. Silence is not the answer. Education is the answer.”
‘Clemmons’ Bill also proposes a “Second Amendment Awareness Day” on the inauspicious date of Dec. 15, the day after the anniversary of Newtown massacre on Dec. 14, 2012′.

‘At the end of 2014, by a unanimous vote in a secret meeting of the City Council of tiny Winfield, Alabama, it was declared that “God is the owner of the City of Winfield.”
‘This change of ownership was revealed to the citizenry of Winfield through the gospel of The [Marion County] Journal, the local newspaper who gave its thanks for God’s assumption of the burden of being the City’s new landowner’.
‘In announcing this transfer of ownership, Mayor Randy Price said’:
“I feel like we need to stand up for what is right. Our forefathers said ‘One nation under God’ and we went so far away from that. There are not enough godly people involved in day-to-day decisions.”
‘This author hates to challenge Mayor Price but “One Nation Under God” as a part of our Pledge of Allegiance was signed into law on Flag Day by President Dwight Eisenhower on June 14, 1954—hardly ‘our forefathers.’
‘This change of ownership was set forth in the following resolution’:
“Whereas we acknowledge God is the owner of the City of Winfield and that it is a City under God. We acknowledge that at all times, He is in control.
“Whereas, we acknowledge that through His leadership, the Mayor and City Council will seek his wisdom and knowledge to be good stewards of the city.
“Whereas, we acknowledge that though prayer, with His guidance and presence, that we will be able to trust that no problem will be too large or too small to overcome.
“Whereas, we acknowledge that the City of Winfield is where it is today because of God’s grace and mercy.
“Whereas, we acknowledge that at all times and in all circumstances, His will shall be done.
“Whereas, we acknowledge that to God be the glory.”
‘The news of God’s ownership was not welcomed by every citizen of Winfield. One anonymous resident voiced his concern that this unique transfer of title might well violate the separation of church and state, and he would be sending on his formal complaint to the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF)’.
‘Undeterred by this dissent and the mass outpouring of ill will on Facebook by those ‘be damned’ atheists, Mayor Price stated’:
“I’m going to step on a lot of people’s toes but there’s not but one God and, that one God, to Him be the glory. There’s no other way; there’s no other God. There are a lot of religions out there but only one God.”
‘Now that Winfield is in God’s hands, some would like Mayor Price (click here for the Mayor’s contact info) to publish God’s email address so that God can be contacted directly by the town folks when the City Council won’t do the job they were elected to do and “when their cable don’t work?”
‘Okay, the cable request was just tossed in for a laugh. Like the rest of this article isn’t enough’?
