‘Two GOP senators have vowed to stall any nonemergency
legislation taken up in the lame-duck session later this year’.

‘Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Mike Lee (R-Utah) warned
Democrats that trying to muscle through any substantial
legislation after the midterm elections would do lasting harm
to the chamber. They said they would vote against any unanimous
consent agreements on nonemergency legislation after Election
Day’.

‘Cruz is also publically pushing his House colleagues to oppose
a continuing resolution to fund the government until mid-
December, which would require lawmakers to reconvene after the
election’.

“Americans cannot trust politicians they can no longer hold
accountable at the ballot box,” Cruz said in a statement
Wednesday night. “The Continuing Resolution should, at a
minimum, fund government operations until after the new
Congress is sworn in next year.”

Republicans 2016 – Chris Christie Belly Flops Again – ‘N.J. Rating Cut by S&P as Christie Gets Record Downgrade’

For all intents and purposes, Chris Christie is gone from the
2016 Republican Presidential race.

Other Governors such as Walker from Wisconsin and Jindal from
Louisiana have run their State’s into the ground but have
managed to keep their credit ratings.

Chris Christie hasn’t and the downgrades are all a direct
result of his budgets and planning.

‘New Jersey had its credit rating cut one step by Standard &
Poor’s, handing Chris Christie his eighth downgrade, the most
ever for a Garden State governor’.

‘The reduction to A, the sixth-highest level, with a stable
outlook follows a Sept. 5 downgrade by Fitch Ratings. It gives
New Jersey the same general-obligation grade as California,
which is on track for an upgrade as revenue exceeds Democratic
Governor Jerry Brown’s estimates. Only Illinois has lower
ratings than New Jersey among U.S. states’.

“New Jersey continues to struggle with structural imbalance,”
S&P analyst John Sugden in New York said in a statement today.
“The governor’s decision to delay pension funding, while
providing the necessary tools for cash management and budget
control, has significant negative implications for the state’s
liability profile.”

WHAT THE F&^% FRIDAY – A Republican World Of Religious Rights – ‘Missouri lawmaker suing to deny daughters birth control access’

This is what we will have 2 years of when – not IF – the
Republicans gain control of the Senate……

‘One of the judges pointed out that parents might have more
control over their kids than employers, and that parents could
just say to their kids, “We expect you do abide by our
religious tenets.”

‘Belz replied, “Well, we all have high hopes for our kids, that
is true. We all expect and want them to obey us, they don’t
always …”

‘In other words, the Wielands are asking the federal government
to enforce their parental guidelines on their daughters’.

You’d and you’d be in the majority, if you thought that women
having access to birth control was a good idea.

Not if you’re a Republican.

You see – after cutting safety net programs AND doing all they
can to limit access for women to birth control – now a
Republican is suing the Obama Administration because he has 3
daughters and the ACA covers birth control – and he doesn’t
want his daughters to have access to birth control……

WHAT THE F&^%……..

‘State Rep. Paul Joseph Wieland and his wife Teresa are suing
the Obama administration over its minimum coverage requirements
for health plans under the Affordable Care Act, which includes
contraception’.

‘They say the government is forcing them to violate their
religious beliefs because they have three daughters, ages 13,
18 and 19, who are on their parents’ plan and might get birth
control at no additional cost’.

‘Timothy Belz, an attorney from the conservative Thomas More
Society, who represents the Wielands, told a panel of three
federal judges on the appeals court in St. Louis on Monday :

“As though the federal government had passed an edict that said
that parents must provide a stocked unlocked liquor cabinet in
their house whenever they’re away for their minor and adult
daughters to use, and Mormons came in and objected to that. It
is exactly the same situation.”
