Debunking The Republican Liars – ‘Republicans: History Classes Should Leave Out The Bad Parts’

republicans rewrite history

After I was out of high school, I started to learn what our Nation’s history really was.

It rarely matched what we were taught.

If you want a REAL history lesson, ask a Native American.

‘Republicans are always talking about how the government is way too involved in the American education system’.

‘So it’s completely logical that the Republican National Committee (RNC) took the time to write a resolution condemning the new Advanced Placement (AP) U.S. History curriculum’.

‘They’re concerned that the new framework, “reflects a radically revisionist view of American history that emphasizes negative aspects of our nation’s history while omitting or minimizing positive aspects.”

‘For example, the RNC thinks that 17th-century colonists should be seen in a mostly positive light — and that students should not be taught about the consequences of American colonialism’.

‘The RNC also criticized the curriculum’s framework for not including enough about the Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence, the role that religion played in forming the United States, and important battles and military heroes’.

‘American Principles in Action and Concerned Women for America wrote an open letter to the College Board, condemning the curriculum’s “consistently negative view of American history,” which highlights “oppressors and exploiters while ignoring the dreamers and innovators who built our country.”

‘The letter also complains that “colonists are portrayed as bigots who developed ‘a rigid racial hierarchy.’”

So basically they have a problem with the fact that the curriculum will teach students that slaves and Native Americans were still oppressed after the American Revolution’.

‘The groups are also upset with the framework’s portrayal of Manifest Destiny as something that “was built on a belief in white racial superiority and a sense of American cultural superiority,” and that the curriculum focuses too much on some of the negative aspects of World War II, such as the use of atomic bombs and Japanese internment camps’.

Republicans 2016 – ‘Romney: It’s Ryan’s turn to run for president’

ryan lies4

You really don’t want Ryan to run.

But if he does, you might want to find him a new career for after the election…..

ryan lies

‘Mitt Romney on Thursday night said Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) should make his own run for president in 2016′.

“He’s very generous. But I had my turn. It’s his turn now,” Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, said about his former vice presidential running mate’.

WHAT THE F&^% SATURDAY – ‘This Should Go Well: Westboro Baptist Church Says It’s Going To Iraq To Protest ISIS’

westboro baptist church1

‘To bring you up to speed’:

‘Last week, British comedian Adam Hills gave an brilliant, hilarious proposal to the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) after learned that they planned to – surprise, surprise – picket Robin Williams’ funeral’.

‘On his show, The Last Leg, Hills pointed out that the infamous “God Hates Fags” group is quick to march around with signs protesting American hedonism, but don’t have the courage to protest the daily persecution Christians in Iraq are facing at the hands of “the people threatening to behead Christians if they don’t convert.”

‘Well it appears that the WBC have seen Hills’ show and take his offer very seriously. Yesterday, when someone asked them if they were aware of it, the church tweeted that not only had they heard of it but had already accepted the offer’.

We accepted! Whence tickets? @PhilCooke: An offer to fly WBC members 2 Iraq 2 protest. Sounds like good idea to me:

‘They also claim to have picketed in Iraq before, although the picture they used in the tweet is decidedly not in Iraq’.

“Ironically, @adamhillscomedy, we have picketed in Iraq before. Google it. #toldya cc: @TheLastLeg @kiis1065 — Westboro Baptist (@WBCSays) August 21, 2014”

‘I took up their suggestion to “Google it” but couldn’t find a single mention of their being in Iraq aside from their own website’s claim. It’s possible that they’ve been to Iraq before, but if they have it was not well advertised’.

‘It appears that Hills’ show has also learned that the WBC has taken up their offer’.

“Ooh! #FingersCrossed RT @adamhillscomedy: So @WBCSays want us to fly them to Iraq. I’ll give my reply tomorrow on @TheLastLeg, 10pm Ch 4”.

— Westboro Baptist (@WBCSays) August 21, 2014

‘If the two sides manage to work something out and the WBC winds up in Iraq, it’s safe to say that their lives would very much be in danger. Iraq, especially large swaths of it now occupied by IS militants, is extremely unfriendly to American citizens, Christian, but most particularly American Christians carrying signs reading “Muslims Die, God Laughs.”
