Blog Running – Debunking The Republican Lies – ‘The Republicans Lie – About Everything’

‘Do you remember last year when Public Policy Polling revealed that more Louisiana Republicans blame President Obama for the mishandling of Katrina relief efforts than blame President Bush’?

‘It is a matter of public record that Barack Obama was only a freshman senator then, while Bush had been president for half a decade’.

‘Almost half of Louisiana Republicans didn’t know who to blame’.

‘Of course, President Obama is currently being blamed for the immigration crisis at the border that Republicans are responsible for. Bush signed the law; Obama gets blamed’.

‘Republicans attack President Obama for taking too many vacation days. In reality, as Al Sharpton pointed out on August 9, 2013’,

“[Obama] has taken 92 days of vacation since he was sworn in. How many did President (George W.) Bush take by the same point in his presidency? Three hundred and sixty seven. Yes, more than a full year of vacation”.

‘Republicans want to sue and impeach President Obama for signing executive orders, even though he has issued far fewer executive orders than President Bush, whose executive orders were not the object of Republican complaint’.

‘For example, on September 25, 2012, pointed out that “Obama has issued 139 executive orders as of Sept. 25 [2012]…Bush issued 160 executive orders through Sept. 20, 2004, a comparable amount of time.”

‘Republicans have claimed Obama is adding to the deficit (while they add to it themselves via tax breaks for their rich owners) when in fact he has been steadily reducing the deficit’.

‘In fact, last year, Obama shrank the deficit to a 5-year low. And as Paul Krugman points out, there was never a crisis in the first place’.

‘As with all their other scandals, it was manufactured by conservatives to advance their anti-Social Security and Medicare agenda’.

‘Republicans live in a world where women’s bodies magically repel unwanted sperm…..’

‘And where some equally mysterious alchemy turns sperm in the anus into the AIDS virus”””

‘Where such a thing as “legitimate rape” exists…..’

‘And global warming and evolution do not’.

‘This is a world where slavery really wasn’t so bad…..’

‘And anyway, whites were the real victims, apparently moping about and wishing they could be slaves too’.

‘Tough to tell if any of those things are crazier than creationist Ken Ham calling for an end to the space program because any aliens we find are going to hell anyway’.

‘This is a world where Kirk Cameron knows more than Stephen Hawking’.

A Republican World – Republicans Really Do Hate Obama More Then They Love America – ‘Think Tank ‘Analyst’ Says ‘Being Hung, Drawn, And Quartered Is Probably Too Good’ For Obama’

The silence from the so called Republican leadership – is deafening.

The so called Republicans of Reagan and Eisenhower have let their once Grand Old Party devolve into blind hate.

You must be so proud.

During a talk at a Tea Party organization in Sebring, Florida, Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) analyst Stephen Steinlight said that Obama’s supposed executive overreach couldn’t be reined in by a lawsuit and that “being hung, drawn, and quartered is probably too good for him,” Imagine 2050 first reported’.

‘He then joked that Obama’s head should be on a skewer’.

“And we all know, if there ever was a president that deserved to be impeached, it’s this guy. Alright? And I wouldn’t stop. I would think being hung, drawn, and quartered is probably too good for him. But you know, this man who wants to rule by the use of a pen, a telephone, let us not forget his teleprompter … the fact is that it would backfire very badly and we’ve got to be grownups and accept that we can’t have everything we want, you know, [like] his head on a skewer.”

A ‘Religious Test’ Republican World – ‘Nurse Sues For Religious Discrimination After Telling Interviewer She Won’t Do Part Of Her Job’

religious test on birth control

Remember the Hobby Lobby decision by the Supreme Court was ‘limited in scope’ so that law suits like this would never occur.

‘A nurse in Florida does not want to prescribe people birth control, but wanted to work at a family health center where prescribing people birth control is a job requirement’.

‘After not getting the job on the grounds of refusing to do the job, the woman is now suing for alleged discrimination’.

‘In their rush to show America who hates immigrants the most, Republicans have passed from nauseating to flat-out irresponsible’.

‘Instead of just demanding every person with brown skin be instantly deported or pretending tens of thousands of refugee kids (most of them under the age of 11) are actually hardened criminals or that they’re covered in filthy diseases, right wing radio host and GOP hopeful Jody Hice has suggested that the best way to “secure” the border is exercise our Second Amendment rights’:

‘In response to a question about the border crisis, Hice said, “that is the reason we have a Second Amendment.”

“Ultimately, it’s not about hunting and fishing and that type of thing,” he said. “It’s about our ability as individuals to defend ourselves, be it in our own private property, but most importantly, ultimately, it comes down to the right of defending ourselves against tyranny should our government ever become a threat to our liberties. And when you are talking about a government that refuses to secure our borders, you are talking about a government that is not taking seriously its responsibility to defend us.”

“All it takes is one good guy with a gun…..” – ‘Baltimore man fatally shoots friend of 15 years during botched bulletproof vest ‘prank’

gun nuts8

Having more guns will make us ‘safer’.

‘A Baltimore man who allegedly shot his longtime friend will be held without bail, a judge ruled on Monday’.

‘Christopher Flohr, the attorney for 30-year-old Mark Ramiro, told a court that his client had intended to shoot a friend who was wearing a bulletproof vest as a “Jackass“-style prank, according to the Baltimore Sun’.

‘In a video of the incident, 28-year-old Darnell Mitchell brags about taking a “deuce deuce in the chest” before Ramiro fires, hitting his friend of 15 years just above the protective vest’.

‘Ramiro was charged with first- and second-degree murder, and handgun violations’.

‘Flohr insisted to the court on Monday that Ramiro did not have any “ill will” toward Mitchell’.

“It was a tragic, tragic accident between friends fueled by alcohol and drug abuse,” Flohr explained. “There’s no way to explain people messed up on drugs and alcohol.”

“This in no way was my client … trying to do anything but a stupid, ridiculous prank,” the attorney added. “He did the best he could to save his friend’s life by shooting him in the chest….twice.”
