Debunking The Republican Liars – ‘There Was No Stand Down Order: The Release of the Benghazi Transcripts Busts Republicans’

benghazi16 benghazi27

So now we have proof that there was no ‘stand down order’.

Issa himself released the ‘smoking gun’ showing that the White House really did think the anti Islam film was the cause of the attack.(1)

The day after the attack, President Obama called it an ‘act of terror’. (2)

And Issa, via a ‘document dump’, exposed Libyans – working for us – to the terrorists.(3)

And now we are going to spend an additional $3.3 MILLION dollars(4)……to investigate exactly what?

‘Wednesday evening, Rep. Buck McKeon (R-CA), Chairman of the House Committee on Armed Services, decided to release the transcripts of interviews of nine military personnel conducted between January and April of this year regarding the attacks in Benghazi’.

‘Upon the release of the transcripts this evening, they prove that there was no stand down order and actually, significant military assets were deployed on the night of the attacks that tragically killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods’.

‘McKeon has been saying for a while now that he’s satisfied with the military’s response to the Benghazi attack, but it seems no one in his party is listening to his attempt to keep them from attacking our servicemembers’.

‘Darrell Issa (R-CA) earned himself Four Pinocchios for claiming that Secretary Hillary Clinton ordered former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to “stand down” during the Benghazi attacks and now Democrats are demanding an apology’.

Debunking The Republican Lies – The PolitiFact Edition – GOP leader: Supreme Court has ruled 13 times that Obama exceeded his constitutional authority’

executive orders

‘Our ruling’

‘Goodlatte said, the “9-0 decision last week was the 13th time the Supreme Court has voted 9-0 that the president has exceeded his constitutional authority.”

‘A thorough review of the 13 cases found many instances where presidential authority was not at issue’.

‘Further, most of the cases originated under and were first litigated by the Bush administration’.

‘We rate Goodlatte’s statement False’.

‘Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., who defended Boehner’s lawsuit, said the Supreme Court’s ruling was emblematic of Obama’s term. Goodlatte, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said the “9-0 decision last week was the 13th time the Supreme Court has voted 9-0 that the president has exceeded his constitutional authority.”

‘Goodlatte isn’t the only person to make this argument. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, made a similar claim in a press release last week and it was also the subject of a column in the National Review, a conservative news website’.

‘A spokeswoman for Goodlatte gave us a list of the 13 cases he referenced. We reviewed the evidence his office offered enlisted the help of a few experts to help us parse through the legalese’.

‘Goodlatte’s assertion doesn’t seem to hold water. Susan Bloch, a constitutional law professor at Georgetown University, said the NLRB case is very different than the rest of the cases on the list, in that the court actually was ruling on a separations of power issue and a presidential overreach’.

“That’s a fair case of the president’s use of executive authority getting rejected,” she said’.

‘But the rest of the claim? “It’s a total overstatement,” Bloch said’.

‘For starters, in eight of the cases, the alleged overreach occurred under President George W. Bush, as did the court cases that challenged the administration (United States vs. Jones, Sackett vs. EPA, Hosanna-Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church & School vs. EEOC, Gabelli vs. SEC, Arkansas Fish & Game Commission v. United States, PPL Corp. vs. Commissioner of Internal Revenue, Horne vs. USDA, and Bond vs. United States)’.

‘Obama’s Justice Department in many of the cases handled the appellate process and ultimately defended the actions to the Supreme Court. But that’s commonplace, experts we spoke with said’.

‘Goodlatte spokeswoman Jessica Collins contended that doesn’t make the chairman’s statement untrue. “Regardless of who started the policies that were overturned by the courts unanimously during the Obama administration, President Obama decided to continue those policies which were struck down,” she said’.

  • ‘But that isn’t really what Goodlatte claimed. He said Obama “exceeded his presidential authority,” not that Obama defended executive overreach’.

‘Additionally, in many of the cases, executive overreach wasn’t really even at issue’.

‘For example, in United States vs. Jones, the court was ruling on whether the FBI had the power to use a GPS to track a suspect and gather evidence’.

One Man’s Trash…..And Apparently The Majority Of American’s Trash – ‘Enough! Most Say They’re Over Sarah Palin, Poll Shows’

‘More than half of the country has a message for former Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin: enough’.

‘That’s the result from a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll in which 54 percent of voters say they’ve heard enough from Palin and would prefer that she be less outspoken in political debates’.

‘That includes nearly two-thirds of Democrats, a majority of independents, and even nearly four-in-10 Republicans’.

Republicans Claim Obama Is Illegitimate – The ‘Craizier Then Louie Gohmert’ Edition – ‘GOP Congressional Candidate Says Obama Has Rare Mental Illness’

obama's fault1

See…’s the President that is abusing, using, raping these children.

And here everyone thought the children were running from the violence of the drug cartels and the violence from the drug cartels along the road.

Don’t we feel stupid.

‘Iraq War vet Larry Smith is the Republican nominee to take on Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas) in November’.

‘He’s also, it turns out, an armchair psychiatrist’.

‘According to Smith, Barack Obama’s handling of the child refugee crisis along the Mexican border suggests the president is suffering from Münchausen syndrome by proxy, a rare psychological condition that causes caretakers to abuse kids’.

“Today, we hear of reports that children are being abused, being used by drug cartels, and even dying,” Smith said in a statement on his website last Thursday’.

“If a high school administrator prompted such mass abuse, that person would quickly be without a job and perhaps even found behind bars. The mental stability of the school administrator would be in question. Is a President of the United States who does such horrific acts deserving of less scrutiny and accountability?…People who intentionally hurt children for attention can be accused of Münchausen Syndrome by Proxy.”

“All it takes is one good guy with a gun….” – ‘And one GREAT invention – ‘Forget Arming Teachers – Firefighter’s Simple Invention May Go Long Way Towards Stopping School Shooters’

‘Troy Lowe teaches shooter response training programs for schools and companies. Typically, students and teachers are told to move heavy furniture in front of doors to block a gunman from getting in. This has the major flaw that many of these children are young and therefore sliding a heavy table or stacking chairs is not even remotely probable’.

‘He also noticed that under the high-stress environment of an active shooter nearby led to most people freezing up and being unable to make smart decisions’.

‘The best thing most people can do in the event, then, would be to stay put and keep the shooter out until police (who are trained to act in stressful environments) can arrive’.

“The idea is to secure yourself inside the room without opening the door,” Lowe said’.

“When they were tested in the factory, the door failed before the devices did,” Lowe said. “There’s potential to save a lot of lives.”

‘Lowe lined up a manufacturer and now plans to sell the devices to schools for around $100 apiece. Considering it may save lives and help prevent more massacres that seems like quite a bargain’.
