Debunking The Republican Lies – ‘John Boehner Gets Busted Lying About Obama’s New Carbon Rules That He Never Read’

Or just plain lying……

Politifact : “But despite these serious flaws, Boehner used the numbers anyway. We rate his statement False”.
‘Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) took to his website to fearmonger today about President Obama’s climate change policy and PolitiFact was not impressed’.

‘The Republican Speaker of the House claimed “The president’s plan would indeed cause a surge in electricity bills — costs stand to go up $17 billion every year. But it would also shut down plants and potentially put an average of 224,000 more people out of work every year.”

  • ‘For this claim, the Ohio Republican earned a big, fat “false” from PolitiFact’.

‘PolitiFact wondered how Republicans could have already read the 645 pages long plan, but of course, Republicans don’t bother with things like reading directly’.

‘They leave that for the Chamber of Commerce and other lobbyists’.

‘The factfinders realized that yes indeed, these accusations came straight a U.S. Chamber of Commerce study that was released in late May, which was based on predictions about the proposals Obama released today’.

Politifact :

“Boehner said the EPA’s plan to regulate carbon emissions in existing power plants will increase electric bills by “$17 billion every year” and “potentially put an average of 224,000 more people out of work every year.”

“Those numbers are based on a U.S. Chamber of Commerce study that came out before the EPA announced the regulations on existing power plants”.

  • “That study wrongly assumed the administration would set a benchmark of reducing carbon emissions by 42 percent before 2030”.
  • “The regulations released June 2 actually put forward a 30 percent reduction within that timeframe”.

“The chamber itself told PolitiFact its estimates are not based on the goals as announced”.

“But despite these serious flaws, Boehner used the numbers anyway. We rate his statement False”.

“All it takes is one good guy with a gun…..” – ‘MN man pulls shotgun on neighbor teaching daughter to ride bike: ‘I should have shot him’

See? Guns can solve ALL our problems.

Was the older gentleman a fanatic video game player so guns weren’t real to him?

Or maybe he suffers from a ‘mental illness’?

Or maybe he just got mad and to him, thanks to the NRA’s constant campaign, guns solve all problems…

We need our guns “to protect ourselves”.

From Fathers trying to teach their daughters how to ride a bike…..

‘A Minnesota man was arrested last week after pulling a shotgun on a neighbor who was teaching his 7-year-old daughter to ride a bike’.

‘According to the arrest complaint, 61-year-old Gary Drake began making comments about the father’s tactics May 25 as he taught the girl to ride on the cul-de-sac they shared’.

‘The father told his neighbor, “I’ve got it,” which apparently angered the older man’.

“If you don’t like my advice, get off my street,” Drake told the man, who reminded his neighbor he didn’t own the street’.

‘This apparently angered Drake even more, and police said he went inside to retrieve a Remington 870 shotgun’.

‘He came back with the weapon and threatened to kill the father, but Drake’s wife came outside, pulled the gun away from him, and physically dragged her husband back inside’.

A Republican World – The ‘It’s All Obama’s Fault – Again’ Edition – ‘Ronald Reagan Gave Iran 1,500 Missiles for Hostages. Obama Trades Five Guys? GOP Heads Explode’

reagan trades

‘I don’t want to hear another word about GOP lawmakers chest-thumping and foaming-at-the-mouth about the fact that Obama traded, without the requisite 30-day notice to Congress, five indefinitely detained prisoners for the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’.

‘You know why’?

‘Because history’:

‘In 1985, while Iran and Iraq were at war, Iran made a secret request to buy weapons from the United States’.

McFarlane sought President Reagan’s approval, in spite of the embargo against selling arms to Iran. McFarlane explained that the sale of arms would not only improve U.S. relations with Iran, but might in turn lead to improved relations with Lebanon, increasing U.S. influence in the troubled Middle East’.

‘Reagan was driven by a different obsession’.

‘He had become frustrated at his inability to secure the release of the seven American hostages being held by Iranian terrorists in Lebanon’.

‘As president, Reagan felt that “he had the duty to bring those Americans home.”

‘The arms-for-hostages proposal divided the administration’.

‘Longtime policy adversaries Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger and Secretary of State George Shultz opposed the deal, but Reagan, McFarlane and CIA director William Casey supported it’.

With the backing of the president, the plan progressed’.

‘By the time the sales were discovered, more than 1,500 missiles had been shipped to Iran’.

‘Three hostages had been released, only to be replaced with three more, in what Secretary of State George Shultz called “a hostage bazaar.”

So GOP lawmakers are apoplectic about Obama not giving Congress the 30-day notice required by law before transferring any detainee from Guantanamo Bay, men who have mostly been detained without charge’?

‘But will raise President Reagan upon a pillar, a man who gave Iran over 1,500 missiles for the release of U.S. hostages’?

teabagger Alert!! – A Republican World – ‘Homeschooling expert: Sex-ed is a liberal plot — make kids watch guinea pigs do it instead’

sex ed

Holy Crap!!!!

‘A conservative activist, who has been billed as a homeschooling expert by tea party groups, warned over the weekend that sex-ed courses were a plot to increase the number of Democratic voters by destroying marriages’.

‘In an interview with radio host Jan Markell, Marjorie Holsten argued that the only way that schools could teach sexual education in the Common Core curriculum would be to waive obscenity laws in many states’.

“People say to me, why would they teach such awful things to our children?” she remarked. “If you go deep down and you connect those dots, you see that when children are desensitized to sexual things, that affects their ability at a later date to bond with a spouse.”

“And so if you have somebody who can’t bond, they’re not going to have a stable marriage”.

“When you have unstable, broken households, how do they vote? Democrat. So this has a very evil underlying intent.”

‘During an interview about Holsten’s objections to allowing a high school student to take a porn star to his prom, Holsten told Williams that teenagers should not be watching sex on the Internet’.

“They should learn it the way I did, by watching animals do it on the street,” Williams joked’.

“Actually, that was how I taught my children,” Holsten admitted. “We started with a boy guinea pig…”

“What? You taught your kids sex-ed with guinea pigs?” Williams interrupted’.

“Well, we had a boy and a girl guinea pig that clearly liked each other,” Holsten said. “You really couldn’t see anything because they’re big, furry little fuzzball things. I mean, that’s why there isn’t guinea pig porn movies.”

One Man’s Trash…… – ‘Herman Cain Says God May Want Him To Run For President Again’

herman cain1

You gotta wonder what crazy ass religion he belongs to that his God wants him to run………

‘If he does decide to run again, Cain would likely face fresh scrutiny over multiple allegations of sexual harassment at the National Restaurant Association, not to mention his infamous “9-9-9? plan that one study found would have raised taxes on 84 percent of Americans’.
