Dr Tyson, you can’t really blame them.

‘Christians’ are so use to ‘cherry picking’ the Bible that they figure they can ‘cherry pick’ science too.

Saving America – It Is This Simple

saving amserica

Lesson #1 – Your neighbor’s house is on fire.
The Republicans pull up with a fire engine and tanker of water.
The fire Chief gets out, looks over the scene and says “We’d put the fire out but we need to save this water for our children. They will need it”.

The Democrats pull up also with an engine and water tanker.
The fire Chief steps out and begins directing his crew to put the fire out.
Later he says “We saved the house and now have a home to live in while we look for more water.”

All too often people say there is no difference between the two major political parties.

And on some levels that is true such as money corrupting the political/legislative process.

But when it comes to the basic platforms of who are the political parties actually working for, Democrats will generally favor people, Republicans generally favor business.

And that is the bottom line of the difference between supply side economics and demand side economics.

Business vs people.

Who actually creates the jobs?

poor

Saving America –

Step #1 –

‘Borrow’ 3 Trillon dollars to rebuild America.

Our roads, bridges, waterways and airports are slowly falling apart.
In 90 days with funding and fast track planning, we could begin creating 100,000 jobs every month.
Adding to the infrastructure, build new schools and clinics for use when you get to Step #3.
Step #2 –

Raise the wage.

raise th ewage

$10.10 sounds nice doesn’t it?

The problem is it wouldn’t be a ‘raise’. Bringing the minimum wage up to $10.10 a hour only brings us up to keeping the minimum wage on pace with inflation with 1972.

At $10.10, you’d be making the same, adjusted for inflation, as you would in 1972.

$17.76.

Give the working poor an actual living, thriving wage. Reward them for doing the have, often dirty work that we all, companies and consumers, depend on.

What will the working poor do with an extra $10.00 an hour?

They’ll spend it.

And that’s what creates jobs.

People buying products and services.

And 30 million new consumers buying will create a huge number of jobs.

Cutting taxes for a company doesn’t create jobs.

It creates profit.
Step #3 –

Cut military spending by 50% this year and 50% for each of the next two years.

The Robert Gate’s ‘Doctrine’ is no sane Secretary of Defense will ever again advises a President to invade another Country.

And aside from Canada and Mexico, no one could financially and logistically invade us.

The future of our use of or military will be in leading from either behind via air and intelligence support or leading side by side in combining our ground troops with our allies.

And how do we absorb up to 1 Million military personal into civilian society?

See Step #1,

Military personal are highly trained in construction, education and medical.

____________________________

Now there are a thousand other things that need to be done to Save America but doing just these three, builds the foundation.

  • Borrowing $3 Trillion will increase the debt.

If we don’t save ourselves today, we don’t have to worry about what our children will inherit.

  • By putting millions of people to work, at higher wages, will pay off that additional borrowing in 3 years.
  • By paying higher wages, a living, thriving wage, you greatly reduce the need for the working poor to get welfare, food stamps and Medicaid.

Further reducing our debt and deficit.

  • The higher wage jobs also create new tax revenue, again further reducing our debt and deficit.
  • Add to that Step 3, Cutting Our Military, again further reduces our debt and deficit.

You don’t ‘balance the budget’, you build reserves to pay down the debt and budget to continue building infrastructure, expand Social Security, social safety nets, health care (single payer) and education.

Saving America means rebuilding America.

Not our Founding Fathers America.

Our America.

We The People……of the 21st Century America…..

We’ve seen what a Real Republican World has done to the State of Idaho :

So what about Louisiana?

Bobby Jindal is thinking about running for President.

How would his programs translate to the United States?

Make no mistake. This is what happens to States when they are under Republican governing.

They become Third World Countries.

The Republican and Religious Right War On WOmen – ‘When ‘Religious Liberty’ Was Used To Deny All Health Care To Women And Not Just Birth Control’

war on women4

war on women2

Republicans – Keeping women ‘in their place’.

This won’t happen in this day and age….will it?

1) ‘Republicans not only want to reduce women’s access to abortion care, they’re actually trying to redefine rape. After a major backlash, they promised to stop. But they haven’t yet’.

2) ‘A state legislator in Georgia wants to change the legal term for victims of rape, stalking, and domestic violence to “accuser.” But victims of other less gendered crimes, like burglary, would remain “victims.”

3) ‘In South Dakota, Republicans proposed a bill that could make it legal to murder a doctor who provides abortion care’.

4) ‘Republicans want to cut nearly a billion dollars of food and other aid to low-income pregnant women, mothers, babies, and kids’.

5) ‘In Congress, Republicans have a bill that would let hospitals allow a woman to die rather than perform an abortion necessary to save her life’.

6) ‘Maryland Republicans ended all county money for a low-income kids’ preschool program. Why? No need, they said. Women should really be home with the kids, not out working’.

7) ‘And at the federal level, Republicans want to cut that same program, Head Start, by $1 billion. That means over 200,000 kids could lose their spots in preschool’.

8) ‘Two-thirds of the elderly poor are women, and Republicans are taking aim at them too. A spending bill would cut funding for employment services, meals, and housing for senior citizens’.

9) ‘Congress just voted for a Republican amendment to cut all federal funding from Planned Parenthood health centers, one of the most trusted providers of basic health care and family planning in our country’.

10) ‘And if that wasn’t enough, Republicans are pushing to eliminate all funds for the only federal family planning program. (For humans. But Republican Dan Burton has a bill to provide contraception for wild horses’.

Had enough yet?

‘Nearly three decades ago, the Fremont Christian School claimed a similar right to deny health coverage to its female employees, citing its religious beliefs as justification for doing so’.

‘Fremont Christian’s case does bear one important difference from Hobby Lobby’s, however, they did not just want to deny birth control to their employees — they wanted to deny all health coverage to many of the women in their employ’.

‘Fremont was owned by a church which claimed that “in any marriage, the husband is the head of the household and is required to provide for that household.”

‘Because of this belief, they had a very unusual compensation package for their employees — though Fremont offered a health plan to its workers, the plan was only available to “heads of households” which Fremont interpreted to mean single people or married men’.

‘When a woman became married, she was to rely on her husband for health care’.
