Guys vs Gals (you get three guesses and the first two are wrong as to who wins)
‘With 31 percent of the vote, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) won the closely watched Conservative Political Action Conference presidential straw poll this weekend, dwarfing second place finisher Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) 11 percent of the vote’.
Hey Rand. Roads, police departments, fire departments all get public funding. If a business opens ‘to the public’, then it will use all of those services.
‘As a Senate candidate in 2010, Paul came out against the Civil Rights Act of 1964’s bans on private discrimination — including the bans on employment discrimination and whites-only lunch counters — claiming that the right of “private ownership” should trump African Americans’ and other minorities’ right to be free from invidious discrimination’.
‘Permitting private discrimination, according to Paul, is “the hard part about believing in freedom.”

‘Besides Michele Bachmann, many other so-called “Tea Party intellectuals” have demonstrated their own remarkably low IQs’.
‘Former Missouri Rep. Todd Akin once claimed that women have magical vaginas that can prevent pregnancy during rape’.
‘An Alabama state GOP rep thinks a baby is the “largest organ in the body” even though a baby isn’t an organ at all’.
‘A Texas state Republican believes rape kits are the same as birth control pills’.
‘Then there’s Georgia Republican Paul Broun who sits on the House science committee yet believes science is “all lies straight from the pit of hell.” How the hell he ever made it through medical school is a mystery’.
‘Let’s not forget about Texas congressman Louie Gohmert’.
‘He once cruelly told a woman that she should have carried her brain-dead fetus to term’.
‘That’s not all. He also can’t tell the difference between Hispanics and Arabs’.
‘Up next, Rick Perry. The Texas Governor is a prime example of “Tea Party intellect.”
‘He doesn’t know the difference between Louisiana and Florida’.
‘He doesn’t think Canada is a foreign country’.
‘Perhaps most damning, Perry can’t even pinpoint the decade or even the century when the American Revolution occurred. He thinks it happened in the 1500s’.
‘House GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher once blamed dinosaur farts as the cause of climate change’.
‘And don’t even get me started on Sarah Palin. Even military veterans think she’s an idiot’.

That’s the Republican plan to help Americans.
‘House Republicans have a bold new strategy to attack Obamacare, which involves huge pay cuts for physicians unless Democrats agree to delay the law’s individual mandate to buy insurance’.
‘GOP leaders intend to vote on legislation this week, aides say, to delay the individual mandate in order to fund a “doc fix” that avoids a 24 percent pay cut to physicians under Medicare — which will automatically take effect on April 1 unless Congress acts’.
My own personal belief is that the tea party’ is the biggest threat to America.
Their constant refrain has been ‘we want our Country back’.
The irony of they also using the theme of ‘We The People’ yet wanting ‘their’ Country back is lost on them but the danger is real as they found a political party so desperate for voters that allowed them entry and now dominance.
Thank you Republicans for being so desperate that you now cower before a group of ignorant voters.
Albeit for the wrong reasons, the tea party has to be put back to were it was, the fringe.
And for a bonus, the rest of the Country gets to watch the show.
Of course, this is form the man that said Obama would be a 1 term President so……..
‘This election season, Republicans led by Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky are taking a much harder line as they sense the majority within reach. Top congressional Republicans and their allies are challenging the advocacy groups head on in an aggressive effort to undermine their credibility. The goal is to deny them any Senate primary victories, cut into their fund-raising and diminish them as a future force in Republican politics’.
“I think we are going to crush them everywhere,” Mr. McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, said in an interview, referring to the network of activist organizations working against him and two Republican incumbents in Kansas and Mississippi while engaging in a handful of other contests. “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.”

Here’s the article here but frankly nothing no one is not already use to.
Apathy. Democrats unable to get voter turn out in mid terms.
My picks for 2014 Senate.
As to the House?
I think we Democracts will lose 3-7 seats.
Obstruction wins and Democrats and America lose because we didn’t make the case that yes we need to raise the minimum wage but can’s because of the Republicans.
Yes we need immigration reform but can’t because of Republicans.
Yes we need national health care but can’t because of Republicans.
Yes we need marriage equality but can’t because of Republicans.
THis election could be won if we made it not about what we need but rather why we can’t have it – Republicans.

‘On ABC’s This Week, Ted Cruz (R-TX) reiterated the claim that Obama’s foreign policy gave Putin the green light to invade Crimea’:
“A critical reason for Putin’s aggression has been President Obama’s weakness. That Putin fears no retribution. Their policy has been to alienate and abandon our friends and coddle and appease our enemies. You better believe that Putin sees in Benghazi, four Americans are murdered and nothing happens, no retribution. You better believe that Putin sees that in Syria, Obama draws a red line and ignores it”.
‘Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates pushed back on Sunday against conservatives who’ve blamed President Obama’s “weak” foreign policy for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Crimea’.
“My own view is, after all, Putin invaded Georgia when George W. Bush was president. Nobody ever accused George W. Bush of being weak or unwilling to use military force,” Gates, who served as Defense Secretary for Presidents George W. Bush and Obama said. “So I think Putin is very opportunistic in these arenas. I think that even if — even if we had launched attacks in Syria, even if we weren’t cutting our defense budget — I think Putin saw an opportunity here in Crimea, and he has seized it.” Earlier this week, Gates told the Washington Post that the GOP lawmakers should “tone down” their criticism and “try to be supportive of the president rather than natter at the president.”

‘While interviewing Charlie Crist on CNN’s State Of The Union host Candy Crowley repeated numerous lies about Obamacare that came directly from Fox News and the Republican Party’.
‘During an interview with Democratic candidate for Florida governor, Charlie Crist, CNN State Of The Union host Candy Crowley said’,
“In the end, you did see that about 300,000 Floridians did lose the healthcare they currently had. They may have signed up by now. They have found alternatives, etc. But they had insurance that they liked, but it didn’t fit under the restrictions of what Obamacare wanted in an insurance policy. You also have this Medicare Advantage where it may see some cuts. We’re not sure how that will work out, but certainly in Florida, there is real fear that seniors who are using the Medicare Advantage plan will in fact see their list of doctors shrink.”
‘When Charlie Crist responded that he didn’t think that it would happen and that Republicans were using this as a fear tactic, Crowley came back with another lie’,
“But some did lose their insurance that they had that’s a fact.”
‘No, it’s not a fact. Candy Crowley was completely wrong. It turns out that she got her inaccurate information about Obamacare from an interview that Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) did with Fox News in October 2013’.
‘PoliFact graded that graded the idea that 300,000 Floridians lost their health insurance as mostly false, which on the warped PolitiFact grading system means that Rubio was totally lying. The 300,000 number comes directly from the Republican Party manipulating a notice the Florida Blue sent out to their policy holders’.
‘Crowley was not only passing off Republican lies as fact, but she also completely ignored the truth’.
‘A report by Rep. Henry Waxman and the Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee found that the actual number of people who lost their insurance due to the ACA was 10,000, so it impossible for 300,000 Floridians to have lost their health insurance’.
‘The numbers don’t add up’.
‘Candy Crowley also neglected to mention that less than a week ago, President Obama extended the period that people can keep their junk insurance policies for an additional year’.
‘After Crowley repeated the Republican lies as fact this morning, the RNC and the Florida Republican Party both released videos claiming that she “fact checked” Crist on Obamacare’.
‘On ABC’s This Week, Sen. Ted Cruz told a lie that was so dense only a Republican could believe it. Cruz claimed that Republicans can repeal Obamacare while Obama is president’.
‘South Dakota state representative Jenna Haggar gave a spectacularly awkward speech to CPAC yesterday, in which she said that President Obama and his “big government progressive policies” are using “handouts and welfare” to make “generations of Americans dependent on the government.”
‘Haggar, who serves alongside her father in the State House?, said that unlike Americans today, the people who settled South Dakota and the Midwest never needed government aid (she may want to read about the Homestead Acts)’.
