‘Sarah Palin Gets Dose Of Reality As Hillary Clinton Leads By 27 Points In 2016 Matchup’

hillary vs. palin

Come on Sarah Half Term Governor Palin – Run for the Republican nomination for President for 2016.

On the up side, even Warren could beat Palin.

‘A poll released by McClatchy-Marist on Wednesday shows that former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton holds a commanding lead over pretty much every GOP candidate for the 2016 Presidential election’.

‘When heads up with any one of the potential candidates the GOP may run out, Clinton holds anywhere from an 8 to 21 point lead’.

‘The poll also reiterates what we’ve known for some time now–Chris Christie’s national aspirations are over’.

  • Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) is the one candidate who was able to fare best against Clinton. The poll showed Clinton ahead of Ryan 52-44′.
  • ‘The poll found one other person that would get within 10 points of Clinton, but we already know that he isn’t running. 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney trailed Clinton by 9 points in this poll’.

‘However, against any truly possible contenders, Clinton just plain dominated’.

  • ‘Embattled New Jersey Governor Chris Christie trailed Clinton by 21 points’.
  • ‘Tea Party candidates didn’t fare much better than Christie against Clinton. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) also saw himself way behind, as Clinton led against him 58-38’.
  • ‘Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) did slightly better, ‘only’ trailing Clinton by 17 points”.
  • (Note – ‘he completely lost the independents, as Clinton was ahead with them 55-37’.)

‘It also seemed like the poll wanted to have a little fun and see what a hypothetical matchup between former half-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Clinton’.

  • ‘As one would expect, Clinton crushed Palin 62-35’.
  • (Note – ‘Independents were completely turned off by Palin, as Clinton held a 41-point lead over the Tea Party darling’.)

Turn Kentucky Blue – The More Of The Republican Lies Edition – ‘Mitch McConnell sought money for biofuel plant while criticizing Obama for idea’

turn kentucky blue

The bad news is the plant wasn’t built so no jobs created.

The good news is Mitch McConnell got campaign money from the company that never built the plant so no jobs were created.

‘Two years ago, U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell took to the Senate floor to deride President Barack Obama for a speech that called for developing biofuel from algae — dismissing it as nothing more than a “pipe dream.”

“I think the American people realize that a president who’s out there talking about algae when they’re having to choose between whether to buy groceries or to fill up the tank is the one who’s out of touch,” McConnell thundered’.

‘But a few years earlier, McConnell, R-Ky., himself worked to obtain a $30 million grant for a company that wanted to build a plant in Springfield, Ky., to turn algae, switchgrass, corncobs and other such materials into ethanol — a plant that ultimately was never built and a grant that was never spent’.

‘And each time McConnell interceded on behalf of the Nicholasville-based company Alltech or the federal government took action to help, its founder and president wrote a check to McConnell’s campaign or the Republican Party of Kentucky’.

‘Though others in Kentucky’s delegation supported the grant application, including U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth, D-3rd District, none except McConnell received contributions from T. Pearse Lyons, Alltech’s founder and president, according to the Federal Election Commission website’.

A Republican World – The ‘Do What We Say Not What We Do’ Edition (Also called lying) – ‘GOP’s New Obamacare Attack: Hitting Medicare Cuts They Voted For’

gop lies

‘Obamacare enrollment is picking up steam, and Republicans have shifted their line of attack against the dreaded law. Their latest beef? The cuts to private insurers under Medicare Advantage will harm seniors’.

“We write to express deep concern about the impact of the cuts imposed by your health care law on the Medicare Advantage (MA) program and the recent action by [the Center For Medicare & Medicaid Services] to fundamentally dismantle the Medicare prescription drug program,” wrote six House GOP leaders in a letter to President Barack Obama on Thursday’.

“These cuts, in addition to proposed rules issued by CMS, will force millions of American seniors to face higher health care costs or lose access to their doctor, health plan, lifesaving drugs, and the benefits they’ve come to rely on.”

‘It’s a curious line of attack because the GOP’s own budget proposals by House Budget Chair Paul Ryan (R-WI) in 2011, 2012 and 2013 continued those cuts, and Republicans voted overwhelmingly for them’.

‘That includes every signatory on the letter’:

‘Speaker John Boehner (R-OH)’,

‘Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA)’,

‘Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)’,

‘Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA)’,

‘Energy & Commerce Chair Fred Upton (R-MI)’

‘And Ways & Means Chair Dave Camp (R-MI)’.

A Republican World – The ‘Religious Protection Under The Constitution’ Edition – ‘Kansas House passes bill allowing refusal of service to same-sex couples’

When 1 persons religious beliefs determine the rights of others, that’s not religious freedom.

It’s discrimination.

There is no difference between refusing to serve someone because of the color of their skin or their sexual preference or who they marry.

With Republicans, it’s all about Freedom!* Liberty!* Opportunity!*

‘Gov. Sam Brownback (R) :

“Americans have constitutional rights, among them the right to exercise their religious beliefs and the right for every human life to be treated with respect and dignity”.

CNN) — ‘Denying services to same-sex couples may soon become legal in Kansas’.

‘House Bill 2453 explicitly protects religious individuals, groups and businesses that refuse services to same-sex couples, particularly those looking to tie the knot’.

‘It passed the state’s Republican-dominated House on Wednesday with a vote of 72-49, and has gone to the Senate for a vote.
Such a law may seem unnecessary in a state where same-sex marriage is banned, but some Kansas lawmakers think different’.

‘They want to prevent religious individuals and organizations from getting sued, or otherwise punished, for not providing goods or services to gay couples — or for not recognizing their marriages or committed relationship as valid’.

A Republican World – ‘New York Lawmaker Says No One ‘Should Ever Ride A Bicycle’ In His County’

This is the face of a legislator who said :  “90 percent” of the people who told him they were “taking up bicycling” were subsequently “hit by an automobile.”

Either very few people who take up bicycling talk to him or there is a tragic story not being told of perhaps hundreds of people in Suffolk County, NY being injured.

More of that Freedom!!* Liberty!!* Opportunity!!*

Except when you want to do something someone doesn’t like.

* Void where prohibited by law. Restrictions apply.

‘A member of of the local legislature in Suffolk County, N.Y. does not want anyone in his community riding bicycles’.

‘Legislator Thomas F. Barraga (R) shared his views on biking in a Jan. 29 letter to a teenager whose mother was injured while riding a bicycle’.

“My personal feeling is that no one who lives in our hamlet or for that matter in Suffolk County should ever ride a bicycle or a motorcycle,” Barraga wrote in the letter, which was first reported by Newsday. “I cannot tell you how many constituents over the years have told me that they are taking up bicycling for pleasure and exercise. I have told them not to do so but they usually do not listen.”

‘Barraga went on to claim “90 percent” of the people who told him they were “taking up bicycling” were subsequently “hit by an automobile.”
