A ‘Conservative’ vision for America – Constant War – ‘John McCain: Obama’s ‘red line’ on Syria ‘written in disappearing ink’ – ‘U.N. has testimony that Syrian rebels used sarin gas: investigator’

john mccain war

Just like we invaded Afghanistan to ‘get bin Laden and then after 9 years found him in Pakistan.

Just like we invaded Iraq because they have Weapons of Mass Destruction…….that we could never find.

Now we have, according to Senator John McCain, the Syrian Government using chemical weapons…….yet apparently the ‘rebels’ are the ones who used it.

War – What is it good for…..

‘Referring to Israeli air strikes on targets close to Damascus over the weekend, McCain said: “Apparently the Syrians and Iranians have crossed a red line with the Israelis.”

McCain added, “Unfortunately, the red line that the president of the United States has written was apparently written in disappearing ink.”

The United Nations independent commission of inquiry on Syria has not yet seen evidence of government forces having used chemical weapons, which are banned under international law, said commission member Carla Del Ponte.

“Our investigators have been in neighboring countries interviewing victims, doctors and field hospitals and, according to their report of last week which I have seen, there are strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof of the use of sarin gas, from the way the victims were treated,” Del Ponte said in an interview with Swiss-Italian television.

“This was use on the part of the opposition, the rebels, not by the government authorities,” she added, speaking in Italian.

‘YOU’RE KIDDING! NRA pushes guns on kids as young as Newtown victims in sick ‘Youth Day’

NRA and kids

The National Rifle Association capped its annual convention Sunday by hosting a “Youth Day” — enticing youngsters to attend by offering free six-month memberships.

Billed by the NRA as a family-fun outing, the event drew hundreds of kids. Some of the attendees were the age of the Newtown massacre victims, others too young to know the difference between a toy gun and a real one.

“Spend the day exploring 400,000 square feet of exhibit hall containing over 550 exhibitors from across the country. Share the excitement with spectacular displays and fun-filled events for the entire family,” the NRA wrote on its website’.

‘Another Toddler Dies From Self-Inflicted Gun Shot – This Time Three Year-Old In AZ’

NRA’s Wayne LaPerrire – ‘The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun’.

Are the children the ‘good guys’ or the ‘bad guys’?

Maybe, just maybe the problem is the guns…………

‘This week, in Yuma Arizona, 3-year old, Darrien Nez, shot himself after finding a 9mm pistol in his 35-year old grandmother’s backpack’.

April 17, in Kansas, a 7-year old, Gavin Brummett, shot himself in the head while firing a semiautomatic handgun. He was on a family shooting trip.

Gun Nuts Out Of Control – ‘Gun Protesters Plan March On Washington With Loaded Rifles To ‘Put The Government On Notice’

gun nuts4

‘Almost 900 people are RSVPed for a July 4th march on Washington, D.C. where protesters plan to carry loaded rifles’.

‘In D.C., openly carrying guns is against the law’.

‘But the organizer of the event, libertarian radio host Adam Kokesh, says the march is an act of “civil disobedience” that attempts to prove gun advocates’ point in the “SUBTLEST way possible.”

‘The event’s Facebook invitation describes the march as a nonviolent demonstration, “unless the government chooses to make it violent”:

“This is an act of civil disobedience, not a permitted event”.

“We will march with rifles loaded & slung across our backs to put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny”.

“We are marching to mark the high water mark of government & to turn the tide”.

What is wrong with the Republican Party – ‘Utah Congressman Claims Benghazi Witnesses Are Being Threatened But Can’t Cite Any Examples’

republican bengahizi

Hate, fear and loathing are not policy.

Chris Wallace at FOX knows that.

Republicans haven’t figured it out yet.

‘Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) accused the Department of State of repeated threats and intimidation against witnesses to last year’s attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya’.

‘But when pressed by Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace for examples, he could offer none’.

WALLACE: “Tell me–a direct threat, a direct act of intimidation against a potential witness”?

CHAFFETZ: “Yes, and I think we’ll probably…”

WALLACE: “Tell me one… tell what’s been said”.

CHAFFETZ: “There are people, more than one, that have felt intimidation from the State Department”.

‘Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) quickly debunked his colleague: “There’ve been two attorneys involved here, the only reason they haven’t received information is that they haven’t asked for it yet… there has not been a request for documents from these attorneys to the State Department.”

‘The only “retaliation,” Lynch noted, was that one of the witnesses wants a reassignment and a promotion and feels he’s being retaliated against because has not yet gotten the promotion’.

Why it’s called the ‘Stupid Party’ – ‘Poll: Cuccinelli has early lead over McAuliffe in Virginia governor’s race’

ken cuccinelli

The ‘Stupid’ this time belongs to the Virginia votes who are or would consider voting for Ken Cuccinelli :

‘In an overlooked recording from the campaign trail, candidate Cuccinelli told a crowd that he was considering not registering his son for a Social Security number because “it is being used to track you.” He also claimed that many others are not registering for Social Security numbers for the same reason’.

“We’re gonna have our 7th child on Monday, if he’s not born before. And, for the very concerns you state, we’re actually considering – as I’m sure many of you here didn’t get a Social Security number when you were born, they do it now – we’re considering not doing that. And a lot of people are considering that now, because it is being used to track you”.

‘Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II has an early lead over businessman Terry McAuliffe in their race for governor, a new Washington Post poll shows, even as most voters in the commonwealth have yet to engage in the nationally watched contest’.

‘Six months before Election Day, Cuccinelli (R) has a slender 46 to 41?percent edge over McAuliffe (D) among all Virginia voters and a significant 51 to 41?percent lead among those who say they’re certain to cast ballots in November’.

Blog Running – ‘LOL Of The Week: House GOP Prepares Its 37th Useless Vote To Kill Obamacare’

republicans vote to repeal obamacare

Republicans vote to repeal but NOT replace Obamacare so often that it’s hard to find a current image with the right #.

‘Nobody told House Minority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) that the Republican Party was joking’.

‘He apparently read the GOP’s 2012 “Growth and Opportunity Project” autopsy’s recommendations and thought Republicans were actually trying to act as if they care about people who can’t afford lobbyists for their beach house. So the congressman went to work’.

‘Cantor came up with a bill that at least appeared to help those Americans who have been denied by insurers because of pre-existing conditions and weren’t being helped by Obamacare’.

‘He even gave it one of those names that you can’t vote against without shaming everyone in your gene pool – The Helping Sick Americans Now Act’.

‘The response from the conservative base was as predictable as it was loud. Fix Obamacare? Accept the results of the 2012 election? Appear willing to help extremely sick people? Oh, hell no’.

‘The right-wing blog Red State decided that for the very first time they would “score” a vote’.

“Vote no or you’ll get on our scorecard as someone who voted to help fix Obamacare and save it,” wrote Red State’s L.Ron Hubbard-figure Erick Erickson — one of the chief proponents of using the debt limit as a hostage to demand cuts, a gambit that cost America as much as $18.9 billion’.

‘Erickson’s bluster was matched by the Heritage Foundation and the walking embodiment of the GOP’s “only worry about primaries” strategy, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). And before the bill could be voted on and that vote “scored,” the Republican leadership pulled the bill’.

‘It’s become the consensus in Washington that there’s a Civil War going in the House Republican caucus. Politico‘s Jake Sherman explains’:

“In one camp are stiff ideologues who didn’t extract any lesson from Mitt Romney’s loss and are only looking to slash spending and defund President Barack Obama’s health care law at every turn”.

“In the other are lawmakers who are aligned with Cantor, who is almost singularly driving an agenda which is zeroed in on family issues”.

‘And who’s winning’?

‘On Friday, Cantor sent a memo to House Republicans promising they would vote to repeal Obamacare for the 37th time’.
