‘Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) chewed out a House staffer after catching her riding on a “members only” elevator, according to an ITK tipster who was on the scene’.

‘The elevator went up a single floor before the doors opened and Foxx walked in with an aide’.

‘The lawmaker, who was recently elected to a House GOP leadership post, asked for whom the pair worked. Then she turned to the female staffer, who had no clue she was on board what was soon to be the elevator ride of doom’.

‘Foxx said to the staffer, “This is a ‘members-only’ elevator; can you read?” She then demanded the staffer’s name before the elevator stopped after going just one more floor up. “Get out here,” Foxx supposedly commanded’.

‘Before our insider and the berated staffer exited, the politician exclaimed, “What does this sign say? It says, ‘Members of Congress only.’ ”

‘But that wasn’t it. The innocent staffer attempted to point out that the sign next to it stated, “during votes,” which is when, our tipster says, Foxx started yelling, “Members only!” as she pointed to signs’.

“I’m just making sure we are hiring people who know how to read,” the lawmaker said’.

Fear and Loathing – The NRA Special Edition – ‘LaPierre: Obama and Media Planning a ‘Siege on the Second Amendment in This Country Like We’ve Never Seen Before’

This is the President of the NRA boosting gun sales.

‘NRA President Wayne LaPierre, who appeared on Glenn Beck’s television program to frantically warn that “the media in this country hates the Second Amendment rights of American citizens and they’ll do anything to try and take that freedom away from average citizens” by teaming up with the Obama Administration to carry out a wholesale “siege on the Second Amendment in this country like we’ve never seen before”.

What is wrong with the Republican Party (And an apology. She’s my Representative.) – ‘Wolf Blitzer Stumps Top House Republican By Asking For Spending Cut Specifics’

mcmorris rodgers

This is one of those Representatives that vote against spending and then show up for photo ops when the project gets started.

She also votes for the Ryan budget and then issues press releases that she’s protecting the elderly’s health care.

Here’s a hint Cathy. YOU’VE had years to ‘look’ for specific spending cuts. This didn’t just spring up and surprise us. So why are YOU just starting to ‘look’ at specific spending cuts? What have you been doing instead of ‘looking’ for specific spending cuts?

I have rocks in my backyard that are smarter then her.

‘Earlier this week, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released a vague counter offer to President Obama’s plan to avert the so-called fiscal cliff, offering $800 billion in revenue by closing unspecified loopholes and deductions and $1.4 trillion in spending cuts’.

‘Republicans have refused to provide details and have pressed Democrats to detail which cuts they would accept’.

‘On Wednesday, during an appearance on CNN’s Situation Room, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) became speechless when asked to list the spending reductions Congress should adopt, as host Wolf Blitzer pressed the Chairman of the House Republican Conference for just one example’.

‘Fellow guest Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA) just threw his hands up in frustration and detailed the $1 trillion plus in cuts Democrats have already supported’:

BLITZER: “So, what’s the one thing you want Xavier Becerra to agree to, to avoid the fiscal cliff”?

McMORRIS RODGERS: “We need to have the spending cuts”. (DUH!)

BLITZER: What? “Give me an example”?

McMORRIS RODGERS: “Well, it is, it’s, looking at the spending, looking at entitlement reform, looking at the growth in government. And you know what the President put on the table, the President is moving in the wrong direction. He proposed higher taxes than he ever said during the campaign, more stimulus, more spending, that’s moving us in the wrong direction”.

What is wrong with the Republican Party – ‘GOP Rep. Has No Answer For Why Republicans Won’t Vote For Middle-Class Tax Cuts’

republicans won't cut middle class taxes

I haven’t heard a single Republican yet, except for the ones that want a seperate vote on the tax cuts to pass them, that when asked this question, don’t change the subject – just like this guy does……

‘Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), the incoming chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, could not explain during an interview on Wednesday why House Republicans are holding middle- and low-income tax cuts hostage to the cuts for the wealthiest Americans in the fiscal cliff showdown’.

O’BRIEN: “Why don’t Republicans and Democrats vote to keep the taxes lower for middle class and people at lower income and let the other ones expire? And you could do that now. And we wouldn’t go over the fiscal cliff”.

HENSARLING: “What the Speaker has done is exactly what the President claimed he he wanted. The Speaker has put on the table a balanced approach. …”

O’BRIEN: “You can’t be surprised that the president said no go to that, right? Within only a couple of hours — because it did not increase taxes on the wealthiest Americans, which he has consistently said”.

HENSARLING: “The President won 51-49. He has an electoral college victory. It’s good enough to get him re-elected but not enough to give him a mandate”.

What Congress does – ‘Congress votes to remove word ‘lunatic’ from federal law, saying it has no place in code’

louie gohmert

I keep hearing about this ‘fiscal cliff’ thing but I guess Congress isn’t worried.

After all they voted yesterday to take the word ‘lunatic’ out of the Federal Codes instead of doing anything on taxes or the budget.

Strangly enough, I found myself agreeing with one of the people that I often assume IS a lunatic – Rep. Louie Gohmert.

Now forgive me. I need to check with the National Weather Service to see if hell has indeed frozen over……..

WASHINGTON — ‘You can say “lunatic” all you want, but you probably won’t have the government’s blessing’.

‘The word “lunatic” will be stricken from federal law under legislation that passed the House Wednesday and is headed to President Barack Obama for his signature’.

“The term ‘lunatic’ holds a place in antiquity and should no longer have a prominent place in our U.S. code,” said Rep. Bobby Scott, D-Va., shortly before the 398-1 vote in the House’.

‘The lone “no” vote was cast by Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, who said in a statement that “not only should we not eliminate the word ‘lunatic’ from federal law when the most pressing issue of the day is saving our country from bankruptcy, we should use the word to describe the people who want to continue with business as usual in Washington.”

Republicans 2016 – ‘Rubio: I Don’t ‘Pass Judgment’ On The ‘Sin’ Of Homosexuality (Except When I Do)’

marco rubio

Hey dumb ass. Calling something a ‘sin’ IS judging it.

Oh and is lying in your auto biography a ‘sin’?

‘Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who has called for the Republican Party to be more inclusive of minorities, said Wednesday that while his faith teaches homosexuality is a sin, he does not judge sinners’.

ALLEN: “Is homosexuality a sin”?

RUBIO: “Well, I can tell you what faith teaches and faith teaches that it is. And that’s what the Bible teaches and that’s what faith teaches. But it also teaches that there area bunch of other sins that are no less. For example, it teaches that lying is a sin. It teaches that disrespecting your parents is a sin. It teaches that stealing is a sin. It teaches that coveting your neighbor and what your neighbor has is a sin. So there isn’t a person in this room that isn’t guilty of sin. So, I don’t go around pointing fingers in that regard. I’m responsible for my salvation and I’m responsible for my family’s, and for inculcating in my family what our faith teaches, and they’ll become adults and decide how they want to apply that in life. As a policy maker, I could just tell you that I’m informed by my faith. And my faith informs me in who I am as a person — but not as a way to pass judgment on people”.

‘Rubio opposed allowing same-sex couples in Florida to adopt children’.

‘He opposed allowing gay and lesbian members of the Armed Services to serve openly’.

‘He opposes making it illegal to fire someone just for being LGBT’.

He recorded a robocall for the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) last month’.

‘His message was part of an unsuccessful $500,000 campaign by the anti-LGBT group to encourage voters to oppose pro-equality candidates and ballot initiatives in the November elections’.

‘Despite Rubio’s efforts, voters rejected NOM’s positions in every single race and all four ballot questions’.
