‘Cheney Smears Obama On 9/11, Claims He Took ‘Sole Credit’ For Bin Laden’s Death’

Dick Cheney and the Daily Caller – A Conservative ‘dream team’.

‘On the eve of the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, former Vice President Dick Cheney accused President Obama of taking “sole credit” for the killing of Osama bin Laden and ignoring his presidential daily intelligence briefings. “If President Obama were participating in his intelligence briefings on a regular basis then perhaps he would understand why people are so offended at his efforts to take sole credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden,” Cheney told the Daily Caller on Monday night’.

One problem……….

‘As Obama explained earlier this year’:

“[L]ast year, when we delivered justice to Osama bin Laden, I made it clear that our success was due to many people in many organizations working together over many years — across two administrations. That’s why my first call once American forces were safely out of harm’s way was to President Bush. Because protecting our country is neither the work of one person, nor the task of one period of time, it’s an ongoing obligation that we all share”.

‘You Didn’t Write That’! – ‘Romney Campaign Appears To Copy Text From Obama Website’

This is one of those dumb ass things that happen in campaigns.

‘You didn’t write that! Donation instructions for Romney’s new “Victory Wallet” taken from Obama’s “Quick Donate” feature. The Obama version went up in March’.

Obama: “When you’re logged in to your account with a saved credit card, just click the Quick Donate button. We’ll charge your saved credit card and you’re done in seconds.”

Romney: “When you’re logged in to your MyMitt account with a saved credit card, just click the Contribute button. We’ll charge your saved credit card and you’re done in seconds.”

Obama: “When you save your credit card information to your account, you’ll receive special Quick Donate links in emails from the campaign. Clicking this link processes your donation and charges your saved credit card instantly if you’re logged in. If not, just enter your password. Either way, you’re done in seconds!”

Clicking this link processes your donation and charges your saved credit card instantly if you’re logged in. If not, just enter your password. Either way, you’re done in seconds!”

Obama: “After you’ve saved your credit card and phone number in your account, you can use your cell phone to make a donation. All you need to do is text the amount you want to give. If you text us “10”, we’ll charge your saved credit card $10. It’s never been easier to donate.”

UPDATED: Romney Campaign Changes The Text’
“This was a junior staff confusion that has been updated and resolved,” said Romney digital director Zac Moffat’.

‘There was no shared vendor between the two campaigns’.

Blog Running – ‘GOPers now trying to destroy small business owner who bear-hugged Obama’

The ‘new’ Republican Party.

To hate Obama more then you love your Country is one thing but to hate one of your local businesses because he got 15 minutes of fame?

From the good people over at AmericaBlog.

By John Aravosis on 9/10/2012 11:58:00 AM

‘Obama must be destroyed. So anyone who shows any sign of humanity vis-a-vis the President – like this Republican small businessman who gave Obama a bear hug yesterday when the President stopped in his pizza joint – must also be destroyed’.
‘They’re attacking his Yelp profile and voting down his business in order to convince people that it’s not a reputable business, and ultimately hurt the small business owner financially’.

‘All because he hugged the President of the United States’.

‘Here’s an example of what they’re doing to him on Yelp, a site that’s supposed to rate how well the man operates his business’:

“Well.. I’d eat there but after seeing the owner grab our leftist President I felt compelled to disrespect his establishment as much as the President disrespects our constitution. Shame on you Scott Van Duzer for thumbing your nose at all the small business owners this President has disrespected for the last four years. I guess you DIDN’T BUILD IT”!

“I hope you’re prepared for many more Yelps like this!!! Maybe you weren’t thinking, or maybe you are the only liberal pro Obama business owner, who knows.. but you won’t get mine or anyone else’s business for your treachery.
Let me recap. Democrats boycott your business because you used the proceeds from your business to take away their civil rights, such as the Mormons did in financing Prop 8 or Chick-fil-A did in financing officially-designated hate groups. Republicans boycott your business because you got excited to meet the President of the United States”.

‘Greg from, where else, Arizona’:

“Talk about committing business suicide. After picking up Obama, your books are gonna be in the red pretty soon. Not too smart”.
Another poster raised a good point:

‘These reviews demonstrate that the right-wingers DON’T support small businesses. They support small businesses that agree with their stinking POLITICS, which is the same thing as not supporting small businesses AT ALL.
Where are Romney and Ryan on the fact that their supporters are now trying to destroy a small businessman simply for being a patriotic American’?

‘But this Yelp commenter said it’:

“Simply to balance out the idiots, like Mike A., who are reviewing a place because the owner was able to not hate someone that they did.
And isn’t that what it’s really all about? Democrats dislike you because you hate. Republicans dislike you because you don’t hate. And then they criticize us for being intolerant of their intolerance”.

‘There’s a reason the Republican party is perceived as bigoted, homophobic and intolerant. As mean and uncaring. As greedy, and for the rich. Because it is’.

Races to Watch – ‘Poll: Bachmann in danger’

Batshit Bachmann could lose.

I wrote a Weekly 2012 a couple months ago now and said the same about Romney. His unfavorables are higher, much higher then his favorables.

The economy is stumbling but no one is going to change leadership to someone they don’t like AND who won’t detail specifics to impove us.

With Bachmann?

Crazy is just too much for serious people.

‘The internal poll, conducted by Democratic pollsters Greenberg Quinlan Rosner at the behest of Democrat Jim Graves’ campaign and shared with Salon, shows that Bachmann’s favorability rating has tumbled since their last survey in mid-June, and finds Graves gaining ground with independents as his name recognition grows’.

‘Overall, the poll shows Bachmann leading Graves 48-46 percent, within the margin of error’.

‘The race has moved significantly among independents, with a 20-point net shift toward Graves, from a 41-45 percent disadvantage in June to a 52-37 percent lead now’.

‘Overall, she’s viewed mostly negatively. Among all voters, 40 percent give her a positive job rating, while a sizable 57 percent give her a negative one, with a plurality of 35 percent giving the most negative answer possible — “poor.”

The Weekly 2012 – Fixing America Step 2 – A free press

Just 50 years ago we still had a ‘free and unbiased press’ in this Country. And while the collaspe of that is not the fault of Robert Ailes

See : ‘How Roger Ailes Built the Fox News Fear Factory’
@ :

it has fostered a so called ‘press’ that caters to ratings and advertiasing profit over journalistic integrity.

And THAT IS a direct relationship to the decline of America.

If, if it where possible to get the money out of politics, and while difficult it is (I just think we lack the backbone to do it), then all you’d need to bring back a structure to rebuild America on, would be a freee and unbiased press.

Imagine, as our Founding Fathers did, an elected representative governing body, serving the public and only the public (as there where no corporate lobbys then) and a press that held them accountable for their words and deeds.

That is THE Founding Principle of our government.

Not American so called exceptionalism. Not God or ANY religion in Government. Not World military intervention. Not taxes.

No. The Founding Principle of our Government was a freely, honestly and openly electeded Representative Government (a Republic) with the Fourth Estate of the press to hold them publicly accountable.

Ben Franklin’s ‘A Republic if you can keep it’.

So how would we do it?

Take the ‘free press’ out of the ‘free market’.

The ‘free market’s’ profitability determines a media outlets rakings.

But it should be journalistic credibility.

So take several media organizations and put them in the public sector. Funded by the public and accountable ONLY to the public, not profits, and then MAYBE, just MAYBE, in competation with each other, credibility based on journalistic integrity rather then profit would brign credibility back to ‘news’.

But much as with taking money out of politics, I don’t think we as a people have the backbone to do this either.

It’s not doom and gloom but rather a new reality that has millions and more every day, going to the internet to ‘trust but verify’ news stories on our own.

Unfortunately there are and always will be the millions and millions more who are too lazy, stupid or simple minded that they will NOT think for themselves and just follow the bright and shinny objects that such organizations like FOX put up as ‘news.’

Sunday Picks – Week 1

An old friend from Spokane R&R before I was flagged off for my political views, Backwoods is going to join in with football picks. Last year he (and 3 others) were beating me until someone at Spokane R&R decided that even football picks – if I was involved – had to be flagged off.
Backwoods and I have a common bond in football and also a GREAT dislike for the NFC East and a weeping disappointment for the Seattle Seahawks.

Backwoods – 9 – 7
Kane – 5(ouch) – 11
(Being a Seattle sports fan I am conditioned to say -‘There’s always next week’ (GRINS!)
Wednesday – Kane…….Backwoods
24—–17 – Loss
Dal v. NYG -NYG……….NYG
Well again this is why I hate the NFC East.

‘Game Of The Week’
30——22 – Loss
SF v. GB -GB……..GB
Last year I kept saying it. There is somethinbg in San Fran. And there still is.

‘Up Set Of The Week’
40—–24 – Loss
Atl v. KC – KC………Atl
My bad. Expected so much more out of a healthy KC.

16——-20 – Loss

1 minute to go. On the 1 yard line. 4 downs. And you can’t score. (Head meet wall) Bang! Bang! Bang!

21——-41 – Win
Indy v. Chi -Chi……….Chi
Finally a win! Luck will get his share of wins but it wasn’t just a QB problem in Indy.

28——48 – Loss
Buf v. NYJ – Buf……..Buff
Loss is an understatement. This was a blowout! Sanchez looked great and with Tebow only as ‘wildcat’ or receiver – the Jets may have sloved the leadership question.

23——26 – Loss
Jac v. Min – Jac…….Minn
I don’t see either team going far this year.

17——16 – Win
Phy v. Cle -Phy…….Phy
You just beat the Cleveland Browns by 1 point! What are you going to do? Figure out how to play better or it’s going to be a long year!

10——-30 – Win
Mia v. Hou -Hou……Hou
It was only Miami but Houston looked very good.

19—–31 – Loss
Pit v. Den – Pit……Pit
I don’t know if I should cry or laugh. I am a HUGE Peyton fan. But didn’t see the Broncos beating the Steelers. Is Pittsburg that bad? Or Denver that good?

34—-13 – Win
NE v.Ten -NE…….NE
Might want to bring back Matt for 1 more year.

40——-32 – Loss
Wash v. NO -NO…….NO
See NE v. Ten. Is Washington that good (now with RG3) or NO that bad (with all the shakeup from the scandal)?

23—–27 – Loss
StL v. Det – StL…….Det
I expected better form another healthy StL.

10—–16 – Loss
Car v. Tam. – Car…….Car

22—–14 – Loss
SD v. Oak – Oak….SD
I shoulda known better.

‘Arizona’s Birtherpalooza Canceled Over Low Ticket Sales’

The tea baggers can’t get enough fringe freaks to have a ‘Hate Obama’ party.

‘Not even the promise of crooner Pat Boone singing oldies from a spinning stage could save what was intended to be the premier birther event of the year later this month in Arizona’.

‘Organizers of the gala, which would have featured Boone alongside Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio and some of the nation’s other prominent conspiracy theorists, broke the news online Friday that it was canceled “due to inadequate ticket sales.”

‘The Sept. 22 event was meant to bring together people from throughout the nation who believe Barack Obama’s birth certificate is fake and therefore he is ineligible to be president. Organizers planned to use it to call on Congress to take up Arpaio’s yearlong investigation into the documents’.

‘The announcement was disappointing to the few people who did plan to attend, as evidenced by a handful of web postings about the cancellation. It didn’t take long for true believers to spin elaborate conspiracy theories about why the event was called off’.

‘One theory could be found on the Facebook page of Linda Bentley, an Arizona tea party activist who had been promoting the event. A visitor to her page wrote that it had been doomed because Arpaio was unwilling to take his probe even further and investigate the president for murder’.

“The REASON the EVENT by Sheriff Joe & his Cold Case POSSE was CANCELLED is because the Sheriff & others are TOO DUMB to SEE the MURDERS Barack Obama had his Security Adviser John Brennan commit on Obama’s Gay Lovers in Chicago,” the visitor wrote’

A ‘Conservative’ vision for America – ‘Steve King: Palin right on death panels’

Come on America! This is the ‘new’ Republican Party.

‘The day after Romney endorsed him, the Iowa congressman was spreading lies’

‘Romney Endorses Ultraconservative Congressman’
“I’m looking here at Steve King,” Romney declared about halfway through his speech. “He needs to be your Congressman again. I want him as my partner in Washington!”
@ :

“And now, we’re looking at a socialized medicine system that takes away 17 percent of our economy and takes away your ability to manage your own health and puts it in the hands of the government and a panel of 15 IPAB bureaucrats that Sarah Palin correctly identified,” King said. Palin famously called the group a “death panel.”

‘King previously warned about government panels that will “make a decision on whether your life is worth saving” as recently as last month’.
