But it’s NOT Republican Obstructionism – ‘ Ohio Secretary Of State Removes Democratic Members Of Election Board For Supporting Weekend Voting’

‘In a dramatic move, Ohio Secretary of State John Husted immediately suspended two Democrats on a county election board after they voted to allow weekend voting’.

‘Earlier, Husted issued a directive canceling weekend voting statewide. In 2008, Ohio offered early voting on the weekends and thousands of voters cast their ballot during that time’.

‘Husted issued an ultimatum to Dennis Lieberman and Tom Ritchie Sr., members of the Montgomery County Eleciton Board, to withdraw their resolution to maintain weekend hours or face suspension’.

Paul Ryan Lies #3 – ‘Ryan criticizes Obama on ’08 GM plant closure from before he took office’

I really didn’t think that when I started a ‘Paul Ryan Lies’ thread it would have too many posts. I actually like Pauyl Ryan. Don’t agree with hardly anything he says but I truly believe that HE believes in what he talks about. And from everything I could find, he seemed to be a very honest man.

Washington – ‘Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan inaccurately said Thursday that President Barack Obama “broke his promise” by failing to keep a General Motors plant open that closed in 2008 – before the Democrat took office’.

“I remember President Obama visiting it when he was first running, saying he’ll keep that plant open,” Ryan said at a campaign stop in Ohio Thursday, recounting the fact that his high school friends worked at the GM assembly plant. “One more broken promise. We used to build Tahoes and Suburbans. One of the reasons that plant got shut down was $4 gasoline. You see, this costs jobs. The president’s terrible energy policies are costing us jobs.”

‘In fact, Obama made no such promise and the plant halted production in  December 2008, when President George W. Bush was in office’.

‘GM cited the low demand for SUVs and high gas prices during the Bush administration as the reason for closing the plant, but Obama hadn’t taken office’.

‘Obama did speak at the plant in February 2008, and suggested that a government partnership with automakers could keep the plant open, but made no promisesas Ryan suggested’.

‘Romney campaign criticizes Akin remarks on rape, abortion’

‘Disagree’.

Now THAT’S taking a stand.

Let’s not go to…………oh say Mr Akin is completely wrong. Ignorant. Offensive.  A fool. An Idiot.

Nope.

Can’t offend the ‘base’.

‘Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan disagree with Mr. Akin’s statement, and a Romney-Ryan administration would not oppose abortion in instances of rape,” said Romney campaign spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg in a statement’.

A ‘Conservative’ vision for America – ‘Exclusive: FBI probed GOP trip with drinking, nudity in Israel’

Now if this had been Democrats – imagine the uproar.

Congressional investigations. Special prosecutors. And DEMANDS from Republicans that the leader of the Democratic Party (after resigning) take responsibility.

So for me the interesting thing will be to watch Mitt Romney and what his reaction will be.

Leader? Or wimp………………

‘Mitt Romney refused to condemn Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and four other Republicans who have alleged that Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is part of a Muslim Brotherhood campaign to infiltrate the American government’.

Again if Democrats had done this, IT would be become a campaign issue against President Obama.
‘The Sea of Galilee, a Christian holy site, is where Jesus is said in the Bible to have walked on water’.

‘These GOP sources confirmed the following freshmen lawmakers also went swimming that night: Rep. Steve Southerland (R-Fla.) and his daughter; Rep. Tom Reed (R-N.Y.) and his wife; Reps. Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.), Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) and Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.). Many of the lawmakers who ventured into the lake said they did so because of the religious significance of the waters. Others said they were simply cooling off after a long day. Several privately admitted that alcohol may have played a role in why some of those present decided to jump in’.

‘During a fact-finding congressional trip to the Holy Land last summer, Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.) took off his clothes and jumped into the sea, joining a number of members, their families and GOP staff during a night out in Israel, the sources told POLITICO. Other participants, including the daughter of another congressman, swam fully clothed, while some lawmakers partially disrobed. More than 20 people took part in the late-night dip in the sea, according to sources who were participants in the trip’.

“A year ago, my wife, Brooke, and I joined colleagues for dinner at the Sea of Galilee in Israel. After dinner I followed some Members of Congress in a spontaneous and very brief dive into the sea and regrettably I jumped into the water without a swimsuit,” Yoder said in a statement to POLITICO’.

A ‘Conservative’ vision for America – ‘Republican Senate Nominee: Victims Of ‘Legitimate Rape’ Don’t Get Pregnant’

No body is stupid enough to think that this person running as the Republican candidate for US Senate in Missouri speaks for the Republican Party or Conservatives in general.

What he DOES do is speak for the minority that has taken over the Republican party and the Conservative movement.

The ‘social’ conservativism from telling a woman what is ‘legitimate rape’ to telling families, children we need to cut domestic spending so that we can increase defense spending an balance the budget.

When did the Republican Party, the Conservative movement forget that it’s ‘We The People’ not ‘we the balanced budget’. When did ‘freedom’ to Conservatives and Republicans translate to ‘I’ll define what ‘legitimate rape’ is to women.

At what point and time does an extreme ideology finally get you to react and say ‘ENOUGH’!

It’s not just an aspect of the ‘war on women’, it’s the ‘new Republican Party.

Join or speak out against it.

Stay silent and you ARE the problem.

‘Rep. Todd Akin, the Republican nominee for Senate in Missouri who is running against Sen. Claire McCaskill, justified his opposition to abortion rights even in case of rape with a claim that victims of “legitimate rape” have unnamed biological defenses that prevent pregnancy.

“First of all, from what I understand from doctors [pregnancy from rape] is really rare,” Akin told KTVI-TV in an interview posted Sunday. “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”
