What is wrong with Mitt Romney? – ‘Romney Disses Dying Medical Marijuana Patient’

Words don’t fail me. This is just wrong. On EVERY level.

Mitt Romney Lies #53 – ‘Romney Camp Cited Same Think Tank They Now Denounce As ‘Liberal’

‘The Romney campaign is pushing back’…

President Obama – “Here’s the thing: he’s not asking you to contribute more to pay down the deficit, he’s not asking you to pay more to invest in our children’s education or rebuild our roads or put more folks back to work,” Obama said. “He’s asking you to pay more so that people like him can get a big tax cut.”

…………….’against a new study from researchers at the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center suggesting Mitt Romney’s tax proposals would actually increase taxes for a whopping a 95% of Americans, denouncing the Tax Policy Center, a joint project of the Urban Institute and Brookings Institution, as a “liberal” group. While the Romney campaign hasn’t rebutted the substance of the study, they claim the Tax Policy Center should be dismissed entirely as a biased source’.

‘But the Obama campaign notes that Romney aides took a very different view of the group when they put out a similar analysis of Rick Perry’s tax plan during the Republican primaries. Here’s how a Romney press release in November described their work’:

“Objective, Third-Party Analysis Showed Governor Perry’s Plan Would Raise Taxes On Millions Of American Families – But He Doesn’t Seem Interested In The Discussion”.

A ‘Conservtive’ vision for America – ‘Mitt Romney Better Move to Right, Says Emboldened Tea Party’

That would make Mitt Romney a (wait for it)…………………..wimp.

Which begs the question – why have Mitt Romney at all. Why not deal directly with a tea bagger representative.

Sarah Palin.

Herman Cain.

Michelle Bachmann.

Donald Trump.

Fox so called ‘news’.

Grover Norquist –

‘All we have to do is replace Obama. … We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don’t need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. … We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don’t need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate’.

‘Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared’.

‘The stunning Texas victory of Ted Cruz, a young Tea Party-backed Republican over an establishment candidate vying for a Senate seat, has already so emboldened the insurgent conservative movement that activists are warning Mitt Romney he had better get on board’.

“These guys [newly elected Tea Party candidates]” are going to force Romney to the right,” said Andrea Shell, a spokeswoman for Tea Party group Freedom Works. “That is our entire mission.”

“If we can elect a really conservative House and Senate that will force Romney to go along with our bold conservative agenda,” Shell said. “He’s going to have to really, really go to the right. He’ll be working with guys in the House and Senate. He won’t be able to get away with too many middle of the road policies, especially on things like the deficit.”

Well how about that. You DIDN’T build that – ‘Romney: Government built the Internet’

‘But Romney wasn’t so hostile to government investment in innovation. In fact, in his book “No Apology: The Case for American Greatness“ he said it was essential to economic success, and even credited the government with inventing the Internet. Here’s the relevant portion’.

‘Revisiting the GOP brand’

Everything I’ve seen tells me this only applies on a National level. And this is already starting to show in polling. The slow but widening spread between Obama and Romney. It’s not just that Romney looks and is that bad but Romney IS the ‘head’ of the Republicans party – the party of no and now the rich telling everyone else no.

But on local levels, the ‘Big Bad Government is taking your rights’ plays great.

So come January, even though our Nation is pressed against the wall and most of want a working Government, we instead will be met with re-elected teabaggers who by March will force the Government shutdown just as we are trying to get out of a recession – thus bringing on another recession.

Ummm…………Hate the ‘team’ – love the ‘player’.

Until you find out that the player hates Obama more then they love America.

‘So as the Tea Party/grassroots/anti-establishment conservative wing of the GOP has become MORE powerful, the GOP’s overall brand image has gone down, especially with indies’.

‘A final point here: One of the most underreported stories of this presidential election is how the Republican brand is in FAR WORSE shape than the Democratic brand. In our most recent NBC/WSJ poll, the GOP’s fav/unfav was 34%-43% vs. the Democrats’ 40%-40%. Indeed, the GOP has had a worse fav/unfav than the Democrats in every single NBC/WSJ poll (that’s 14 of them!!!) since Jan. 2011, after Republicans won control of the House. So as the Tea Party/grassroots/anti-establishment conservative wing of the GOP has become MORE powerful, the GOP’s overall brand image has gone down, especially with indies. It is hard not to believe these two facts aren’t connected. And this raises the question: Will this be a drag on Romney? Or here’s another way to put it: How can this not be a drag on him? Help us out with this riddle: When was the last time a presidential candidate won when their party was viewed MORE unfavorably than the other side’?
