Mitt Romney Lies #22 – ‘Romney Advisers Reveal Strategy: Ignore Journalists, Pander To Right-Wing Conspriacy Websites’

Misinformation. Disinformation. Lies. Hiding from Questions.

This IS the Mitt Romney campaign.

And so far, mostly unchallenged by the media.

Why this isn’t the lead story everyday in print and broadcast media is cause for the greatest concern.

The ‘free press’ has failed because it has become dependent on profits. But Mitt Romney is seeking to be the President of the United States and WON’T answer questions unless they are from controlled and friendly media.

Silence is acceptence.

And the media is incredibily silent on demanding answers from Mitt Romney.

‘From the beginning of the campaign, Romney has pointedly avoided news outlets who might pose tough questions. The press dubbed it “the Mittness Protection Program.”

And no it’s not a ‘center-right’ media. It’s controled, extreme (sensational reporting raises viewership and profits) conservative media.

Truth is all too often dull. Conspiracy theories aren’t.

‘As the campaign wore on, Romney has refused to answer direct questions about major policy issues central to the campaign. For example, Romney has still not stated whether he would undo Obama’s order ending deportations for many young undocumented immigrants’.

‘Romney campaign spokesman Lenny Alcivar recently outlined how the campaign will avoid journalists and cooridnate and communicate their message through and the Drudge Report ( And I woyuld add FOX, MewsMax and CBN):

“When this election is over, one of the lessons that will be learned by the mainstream media is that they no longer have a toe-hold on how Americans receive their news. Never before – in a way that has taken Democrats off stride – have we seen the confluence of an aggressive online community, led by Breitbart, and an aggressive campaign team not willing to cede an inch of ground to Democrats. This combination has created a new political reality. We no longer allow the mainstream media to define the political realities in America. The rise of Breitbart, Drudge and others, combined with an aggressive Romney campaign is a powerful tool in the arsenal of the conservative movement”.

…”The governor will no longer allow the mainstream media to dictate the terms of this debate. This is just the beginning… We are witnessing the rise of the center right media”.

Newsmax? Drudge? FOX? CNN?

None of those are credible ‘news’ outlets.

‘Newsmax asked Romney a series of questions that will be featured in its September Newsmax magazine cover story, including his take on the key media outlets he turns to for news: “You know, increasingly, I’m getting news from electronic sources, whether Newsmax, Drudge, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal Online, even USA Today online, Fox online, CNN online.”

‘Romney Refuses To Answer What Biggest Misconception Of Him Is: ‘I Give The Answers I Want’

But as President you are suppose to be answerable to the American people.

I guess we come in second place – behind you.

But you won’t even answer that question.

‘Yesterday during Piers Morgan Tonight, Governor Chris Christie said that one of the biggest misconceptions about Mitt Romney is that he is frigid, and that he instead possesses “enormous compassion.” He gave an articulate and straightforward response to his candidate’s shortcomings. Tonight, Romney had to answer that question about himself, and began to talk about the budget and other such things for so long that John King had to hop in and remind him that he was asked what the biggest misconception of him was. For this insolence, Romney struck him down: “You ask the questions you want; I give the answers I want.”

From :

1. ‘Romney won’t say whether he would undo Obama’s decision to end deportations of DREAM-eligible immigrants’.
‘Romney and his campaign passed up numerous opportunities over the weekend to say whether he agreed with the substance of the Obama administration’s order’.
‘Romney saying only, “We’ll look at that — we’ll look at that setting as we– as we reach that.”

2. ‘Romney won’t say whether he’d support the Paycheck Fairness Act. Romney repeatedly dodged questions whether he’d support the Paycheck Fairness Act’.His campaign didn’t respond to five requests by the conservative Washington Times seeking his stance on the bill’.

3. ‘Romney won’t specify which tax loopholes he’d close. Romney refused to offer any specifics saying only, “We’ll go through that process with Congress.”

4. ‘Romney won’t say which federal agencies he’d eliminate. At a private fundraiser, Romney reportedly told donors he would eliminate or combine “a lot of departments in Washington,” but that he was “probably not going to lay out just exactly which ones are going to go.”

5. ‘Romney won’t say whether he supports the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. Romney said, “I’m not going to go back and look at all the prior laws and say had I been there which ones would I have supported and signed.”

6. ‘Romney won’t say whether he’d support full reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. Romney would not specify whether he supported the bipartisan Senate version or the GOP House rolllback bill’.

7. ‘Romney won’t say whether say whether he’d eliminate the “carried interest” tax break for private equity partners’.

8. ‘Romney also won’t say whether he agrees with the Supreme Court’s decision on Arizona’s immigration law’.

From August 1, 2011 – ‘Mitt Romney’s low-profile strategy’

From 11 months ago……………….

‘Call it the Mittness Protection Program’.

‘Through the hot summer of 2011, the front-runner for the Republican nomination has been in hiding’.

‘Romney was hit repeatedly by his opponents and the Democrats for refusing to offer an opinion on the debt deal until twelve hours after Congressional leaders accepted it – but that’s just been the most obvious example of a campaign that’s keeping the candidate far from the front lines and the headlines’.

“Mitt Romney won’t show any leadership on the debt ceiling because he is more concerned with avoiding the ire of the Tea Party than preventing the first ever default on America’s obligations,” wrote Priorities USA’s Bill Burton. “While Romney has always been a political opportunist, this week demonstrates that even when America’s economy is at stake he doesn’t have the courage to stand up to the Tea Party.”

‘Romney doesn’t currently hold office or any other job. But more importantly, he’s a Republican frontrunner of unprecedented weakness, and one whom the American people barely know. And while his advisers describe the decision as a strategic choice to pick only the big fights, it has obvious negative consequences: Romney’s identity remains hazy, voters remain unmet, and his rare appearances raise the stakes for gaffe free – or at least vaguely normal – performances’.

“His strategy is clearly to play a lower profile so that he will draw less fire because he’s got a number of issues that he would rather not address,” said Mark Penn, who steered Hillary Clinton in similar waters in 2007′.

‘JPMorgan’s failed risk director retired with $21.5 million’

There are ‘rules’ for some and then there are ‘rules’ for the rest of us………………

‘What other industry in the world will let you lose billions and still walk away with millions in easy money? Bloomberg’:

‘JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM)’s decision to let Chief Investment Officer Ina Drew retire four days after the bank disclosed a $2 billion loss in her division allowed her to walk away with about $21.5 million in stock and options’.

‘Drew, who resigned May 14, can keep $17.1 million in unvested restricted shares and about $4.4 million in options that she otherwise would have been required to forfeit if the New York-based bank had terminated her employment “with cause,” according to regulatory filings and estimates from consulting firm Meridian Compensation Partners LLC’.

A ‘Conservative’ vision for America – ‘McConnell Can’t Answer How GOP Will Insure Americans After Repealing ObamaCare: ‘That Is Not The Issue’

Do you mean like the 20+ ‘European’ Countries that rank AHEAD of the United States in Health Care?

See :

MCCONNELL: ‘That is not the issue. The question is, how can you go step by step to improve the American health care system. … We’re not going to turn the American health care system into a Western European system’.

‘If Republicans are successful in repealing ObamaCare, they’ll also have to answer how they’ll provide coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, lower-income Americans, and even the millions of young Americans who can now stay on their parents’ health care plans until age 26’.
