The Weekly 2012 – Why Mitt Romney will lose – And no it’s NOT the economy

While this race isn’t over BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION, it is becoming clear that unless Mitt Romney actually starts to stand FOR something – ANYTHING- AND answer questions about it, the American public is starting to really not like this guy.

Surprise, surprise.

And therein lies (no pun intended towards Mitt Romney) the problem.

If Mitt Romney holds to the extreme Conservative views of the fringe (teabaggers), he will lose the Moderates and Independents.

If Mitt Romney moves to the moderate views, he will lose the fringe (teabaggers) that are very vocal and helped make FOX seem like a real news agency.
That would put FOX in the position of sticking with the fringe that actually watch them and give them the great ratings or…
Going with Romney and losing the fringe and seeing their ratings drop.

Kind of a ‘duh’ question as ratings=money.

Even though the American Press is too cowardly to call out Mitt Romney and his lies, the American people actually DO want answers.

American Press : ‘Chronicling Mitt’s Mendacity, Vol. XIII’
@ :

British Press : ‘Quite simply, the United States has never been witness to a presidential candidate, in modern American history, who lies as frequently, as flagrantly and as brazenly as Mitt Romney’.
@ :

(Just a thought but if you did a small survey, my guess is 9 out of 10 people wouldn’t know the defination of ‘mendacity’. So why not just use the word LIAR? Unless the American Press is too afraid to.)

We want CREDIBLE answers.

So kudos to Face The Nation’s Bob Schieffer. You showed Mitt Romney doing what Mitt Romney does best.

Not answer questions.

With only 4 months + to go until the election, baring a major crisis, the economy is going to be crapy but stable.

Republican hopes and dreams of trying to tank the economy (by using the filibuster to block ANY legislation that might, just might create even 1 job) are diming fast.

‘Dear media: Tell readers the truth about GOP filibustering’
‘Most Americans, not surprisingly, do not realize that majorities can no longer get their way in the Senate. After all, it wasn’t that long ago that most key votes in the Senate were based on simple majority voting. In 2009 Republicans created a situation in which virtually everything requires a supermajority. If you are going to tell the full story of a bill killed by filibuster, you need to report not just the outcome — a bill lost — but that majority sentiment was thwarted by a minority’.
‘So, how did the major papers do yesterday? Neither the New York Times nor the Washington Post had the word “filibuster” in their on-line front page headlines or teasers’.

But WHY will Mitt Romney lose?

‘A month ago, Romney’s favorable/unfavorable score stood at 34-38 percent nationally and 36-36 percent in the 12 swing states’.

(The 12 ‘swing’ States are : Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin).

‘But in this latest survey, his national fav/unfav score is 33-39 percent and 30-41 percent in the swing states’.

A rather large drop in favorable and raise in unfavorable.

‘In addition, the poll shows that attitudes about Romney’s business background – a frequent target in Obama ads – also are more unfavorable in these battlegrounds’.

‘Among swing-state respondents, 18 percent say what they’ve seen and heard about Romney’s business record gives them a more positive opinion about the Republican candidate, versus 33 percent who say it’s more negative’.

Just blaming President Obama WITHOUT offering any credible vision has made Mitt Romney very, very unfavorbable.

And regardless of how bad it looks and is under President Obama –

American are not that stupid to vote for someone they don’t like BECAUSE he won’t answer questions or offer a credible vision or plan.

At least those who aren’t locked into the ideology that they hate President Obama more then they love America.
