Earmarks? tea bag Republicans don’t need no stinking earmarks!

So now, after a YEAR and A HALF of CUTTING Government, you want Governments help in spending to make jobs so that you’ll look good to your voters?

But wouldn’t that mean that the Government DOES create jobs?

What’s that word I’m looking for.

Oh yeah.

‘Hypocrisy alert: House Republican freshmen are begging their leaders to bring back a certain type of earmark so that they can help companies back home in an election year’.

‘In a letter to Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, 65 House Republican freshmen — or roughly three-quarters of the class — asked that the House consider a miscellaneous tariff bill jampacked with special provisions to suspend duties on various foreign goods, even though it runs counter to the earmark ban Republicans campaigned on in 2010 and instituted when they took power’.

‘The push is a sign that freshmen who arrived in Washington talking up their anti-pork principles are now worried about what — if anything — they’ll have to show constituents when they hit the campaign trail. And, in typical Washington fashion, they think they’ve found a loophole that will get them past the ban’.

‘It’s a tough call for GOP leaders, and they haven’t yet figured out what to do: keep faith with their promise or bend to the will of freshmen who like the sound of an earmark ban a heck of a lot more than the reality’.

It’s still a Republican Primary day!

‘Could Newt pull off a Delaware upset’?

Upset to what?

For the winner take all 17 delegates Delaware has?

Yeah that’s going to make a difference. Especially with all the delegates Romeny will get in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York tonight.

The ONLY interesting thing to see will be the vote percentage Romney gets.

ConocoPhillips Makes $2.9 Billion In Profits

Now how much did YOU pay to fill up last time?

And you DO know that a subsudy is YOUR tax money going to support these oil companies?

Thank goodness the Senate Republicans are working hard for the American people.

What’s in YOUR wallet : ‘Conoco is sitting on $3.7 billion in cash reserves’.

Can you say ‘Money in Politics’? : ‘Conoco spent $20,557,043 on lobbying in 2011, making it the sixth-largest overall spender in 2011 and the top oil and gas company’.

‘The company has donated over $300,000 to federal candidates for the 2012 cycle, 91 percent going to Republicans. Its PAC has spent $60,000 since January’.

‘The outgoing CEO James Mulva received a $27.7 million salary, a 55 percent jump in 2011.  Mulva has contributed at least $20,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and to Minority Leader Mitch (R-KY) McConnell and Senate Finance Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-UT)’.

At least they pays taxes : ‘Conoco paid an 18 percent effective federal tax rate in 2011, and an average 27 percent between 2008-2010’.

Boehner says one-in-three chance GOP could lose the House

That’s A Fact Jack!

Love that movie.

I think it’s too early to be that bold but it depends on if the tea bag Republicans hold out for more cuts in the budget, BEYOND what was agreed on last Fall and push it to the point that the Government is or could be shut down.

The Speaker proved time and time again last year that he isn’t capable of guiding or controling the 82 member freshmen calss of tea baggers.

‘Republicans would rather default than raise taxes? Seriously’?!

And with an election year, the tea baggers have to stand by their ‘no compromise’ stand in their respective districts. Try or shut down the Government this fall over the budget?

Then yes, Speaker Boehner. You may well lose the House. Because Speaker, we all may not like our Government at times, but we all want it to work. And that means compromise.

Something a minority in your party doesn’t understand.

Americans are getting tired of the tail wagging the dog.
“I would say that there is a two-in-three chance that we win control of the House again but there’s a one-in-three chance that we could lose and I’m being myself, frank,” Boehner told Fox News, according to a transcript of the interview’.

‘In the interview, the speaker pointed out there are 32 districts in states where “there is no presidential campaign going to be run, no big Senate race.” Specifically Boehner called 18 Congressional districts in California, New York and Illinois “orphan districts,” where Romney is not expected to win, and said they are “frankly pretty vulnerable.”
