A ‘Conservative’ vision for America – ‘Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA): Evolution, Big Bang ‘Lies Straight From The Pit Of Hell’

This is so sad.

But this is the ‘new’ Republican Party.

So come on America.

We need to elect these guys so they can ‘take back America’ – for themselves!

‘Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) tore into scientists as tools of the devil in a speech at the Liberty Baptist Church Sportsman’s Banquet last month’.

“All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell,” Broun said. “And it’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior.”

According to Broun, the scientific plot was primarily concerned with hiding the true age of the Earth. Broun serves on the House Science Committee’.

“You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I’ve found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth,” he said. “I don’t believe that the Earth’s but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible says.”

  1. All these crazy/delusional/ignorant legislators who serve on science-related committees…this is very worrying. Of course the reason they’re gunning for seats on committees like these is so they can find a way to influence the way science is taught in our public schools, and to make room for their crackpot religious theories alongside real scientific knowledge. It really makes me scared, and I wonder if anyone reasonable is keeping them in check up there in Washington.

    • If Romney wins and the Repubs take the Senate, crazy will be the new ‘normal’ and no, there won’t be anyone to stop them. Doing away with regulation to ‘create’ jobs sounds great until you start thinking to the consequences to the food we eat, the medicine we take, the air we breathe and water we drink.
Climate change is not a political stunt.
